KS: choice is to continue infighting and factionalism or pulling together and taking responsibility.
Distinct lack of any policy content in Starmer's speech. Can't recall him mentioning one policy at all except those delivered under Blair and Brown governments.
Question time. First round on electoral reform, mental health services and how KS would respond to people who say next leader should be a women and/or from up north.
KS: support some form of electoral reform but need to maintain constituency link.
KS: mental health services need more funding.
KS: none of us putting ourselves forward because we're a women or cus we're a man. We're doing it cus we think we're the best candidates.
KS: leadership has to be a team effort and I'd see other candidates as part of that team.
Ooh starting to get interesting. Just had a question on how KS would shake off portrayal as someone who would try and take UK back into EU.
KS: argument about leave or remain has gone. I don't think it follows that we don't fight Johnson on what he's doing (presumably he means on Brexit here).
