Lorenzo Kom'boa Ervin is a former member of the Black Panther Party and wrote the seminal text “Anarchism and the Black Revolution” while a political prisoner. Martin Sostre was an Afro-Puerto Rican prisoner activist and revolutionary who mentored Lorenzo Kom'boa Ervin while they were incarcerated together. Kuwasi Balagoon was a member of the Black Panther Party and Black Liberation Army, and defendant in the infamous Panther 21 case. He spent much of the 1970s in prison, escaping twice to participate in BLA actions, until his passing in 1986.

Not included above but worth mentioning is Afro-Brazilian anarchist, Domingo Passos. A carpenter by trade, union militant, and renowned orator and agitator, Passos stands out as a key figure of 1920s anarchism in Brazil. https://blackrosefed.org/domingos-passos-the-brazilian-bakunin/
