Episode 1 // #Luimelia // using a very similar technique that can be incredibly hard to execute. It created a little bit of tension but at the same time gave us the perfect amount of anticipation/excitement while we followed both characters.
Episode 2 // These references are just purely my opinion //

Gil meets Gabrielle on the bridge in Paris which if you saw the movie it’s a constant move between the past and the present but this scene breaks the pattern and it’s meaning is focused in the future.
Episode 2 // Luisita and Amelia connection becomes undeniable in this moment. Layer after layer they start to realize that there’s something there and they have more in common than what they thought.
At the end of Midnight in Paris, while Gil & Gabrielle are having a conversation it starts raining.
“Paris is the most beautiful in the rain” she says. Gil offers to walk her home in the rain.

It’s starts raining and Amelia offers to walk Luisita. I absolutely love that they chose to do a wide shot of this scene.
The last scene of episode 2 of #Luimelia gave me some “Rear Window” by Alfred Hitchcock vibes. The wide outside shot is smooth and invites you to follow the characters as soon as the lights turn on.

I think the last scene was a creative choice and nothing related to censorship. It was to show that voyeurism is an universal pleasure that we all pursue // watching someone or something unfold without them having an awareness of our presence. It keeps you on the edge. #Luimelia
#Luimelia Episode 5 // Reference: Master of None // Season 2, Episode 5, “The Dinner Party”.
I’m a pretty big fan of this filming concept & it was well executed however I wish they held the shots for a bit longer especially the last one. // the premise is simple = we have all been the people in that taxi at some point or time & that’s why it feels so real. #Luimelia
Well we have reached the end of Season 1 of #Luimelia as I was watching this last episode it made me think about the last scene of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind when Joel and Clementine are tempted to get back together but are not sure.
