As I sit here watching Rep. Gottheimer (D) on MSNBC the realization that the kleptocracy has totally destroyed my illusion that we have a democracy. I mean I have fooled myself to believe that the money flowing to campaigns was like the nuclear arms race, one side takes the
money from special interests so the other side has too, to keep competitive. But all this money has driven policy, regulations and now the absolute truth that we are a kleptocracy.
The SCOTUS ruling on Citizens United has upped the ante in legalizing bribery to our elected
officials by the elites and the corporations. We are talking about billions of dollars that have strings attached, and if you think they don’t, your a fool.
There are so many examples of this in every regulatory body that you can’t escape it. Just a few that are so blatant that
anybody who can defend them are just spinning the truth. It’s not so much the line level worker bees but the appointees and the management that comes with them. EPA is run by fossil fuel, petrochemical and agriculture chemical industries.Those are the most obvious.
The FDA is run by the pharmaceutical and agriculture industry.
Every regulatory agency is run by the very industries that these agencies were formed to protect us from. Do you think the billions spent by these industries to our elected representatives didn’t lead us
to where we are now? Why has the billionaire class grown so big? Just look at the money Wall Street spends on corrupting our political system. When Wall Street caused the collapse of the economy in 2008 not a single institution leader spent a day in jail for bankrupting millions
of Americans. I guess my view now is fuck America First, let’s make People First. And now its WHATEVER it takes to kill the kleptocracy is fair game.
