#coronavirus is still a threat, even with WHO assistance. Many nations will struggle to contain the virus and to treat everyone. https://twitter.com/TheLancet/status/1223258210913701890
The major concerns I have are:

1. Once it hits critical mass, controlling an urban outbreak is very difficult as seen in China, we must avoid this outside China.
2. The current death-rate is not scary, but when hospitals are over-crowded it with grow.
3. Regional, Citywide and Grid-based quarantine could wreck economies, just look at the Chinese markets today.
4. If China can not contain it within their cities, a major humanitarian crisis could unfold.
5. China is clearly trying to control the narrative and hide things.
However, I am increasingly optimistic about the situation for the following reasons:

1. Australian scientists have made the virus available for many nations to begin work on a vaccine.
2. Since the WHO statement, many nations are taking sensible precautions to control it.
3. Treatment knowledge is improving as doctors experiment and learn more about what works and where.
4. We likely have enough data to now understand most of the common complications that can occur.
5. So far outbreaks outside China have been largely contained.
