I love nothing more than rock n roll anecdotes. So I decided to start a thread with my all time favourites. To kick it off, perhaps the genre leader - Factory Records send heroin addicts Happy Monday to Barbados to record an album, away from the heroin dealers of Manchester...
This is of course only half the story. Shaun was given a 6 week supply of methadone to get him through the trip. He dropped that at the airport and smashed all over the floor, losing the lot. Given half a million quid to spend recording the album, Shaun spent it all on crack.
He then stole the studio's sofa to get money for more crack, then the studio's mixing desk, for more crack. On returning home, he held the master tapes at gun point, until Factory paid him extra cash to take them, which they did, to find out it was an hour of a drum machine.
