THREAD: Vorny’s favourite albums. A selection of music that I think is fucking class.
Kano - Made in the Manor
Rating: 10/10

What can I say? My favourite album of all time. Every single track is pure gold. Not many albums have this high quality consistency.

Fav tracks: T Shirt weather. A road and hymm, and My Sound.
Kano - Hoodies All Summer

Rating 9/10

After waiting 3 years for a new Kano album, he certainly didn’t disappoint with this release. A small step back from grime. Worth the wait. Tour was also a special experience.

Fav Tracks: Trouble, can’t hold we down, Free Years Later
Nines - Crop Circle

Rating 8/10

One of the G.O.A.Ts of the scene, Nina gave me my no 1 album of 2018. This one got me through GCSEs and soundtracked a decent summer afterwards. Features on this one slapped especially.

Fav Tracks: Outro, Venting, Eagles
Skepta - Doin It Again

Rating: 8/10

Grime might have not been in the limelight when this once was released, but Skepta made an old school vibe come alive. The nostalgic feel made this a good listen.

Fav Tracks: Doin It Again, Hello Good Morning, Nobody Made Me
JME - INTEGRITY>

Rating: 9/10

The grime scene needed this one. An unserious, fun, playful playlist featuring simple themes and mad beats & samples. The vibe is “I’m making music and I don’t give a fuck”. And I absolutely love it.

Fav Tracks: Calm, Game, 96 Fuckries.
LOST AND FOUND - JORJA SMITH

Rating: 8/10

Walsall’s finest. Not only is she one of the prettiest girls on earth, she also has the voice of an angel. Seeing someone from the ends make it big puts a smile on my face.

Fav Tracks: Lifeboats, Lost & Found, Wandering Romance.
Drake - Nothing Was The Same

Rating: 8/10

Drizzy doing what drizzy did best. Everyone says old drake slaps more. This album has too many iconic tracks, and also features one of my favourite songs of all time.

Fav Tracks: Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2, Come Thru, Too Much.
Drake - If you’re reading this it’s too late.

Rating - 8/10

An iconic release. One of my favourite album covers of the last decade. When he sticks to his roots and doesn’t try imitate the UK scene, the results are tremendous

Fav Tracks: Sta67, Now & Forever, Preach
AJ Tracey - AJT

Rating 8/10:

Most artists wish they could have a debut that slapped like this one. Every single vibe was covered. Going to see him live in Brixton was also class.

Fav Tracks: Plan B, Double C’s, Psych Out!
Drake - What A Time to Be Alive

Rating: 8/10

Drake x Future goes surprisingly hard. 15 year old me stumbled on this one by accident. Some say future made the tracks weaker, but it’s still full of bangers.

Fav Tracks: Diamonds Dancing, Change Locations, 30 for 30 freestyle.
