Turns out the FISC judge who hand picked the Obama appointed Lawfare blog lawyer David Kris also happens to be an Obama appointed Bonesman named "Jeb."

Judge Boasberg was nominated to the DCC by Obama in 2011 after a recommendation from Eleanor Norton.
This is the guy who is responsible for the FISC review and he decides to bring in a lawyer who blogs for Lawfare to help him.

Eleanor Norton (mentioned above as making the rec to BHO) is a longtime DC delegate who has been around the block a few times. Her husband is the now deceased Edward Norton.
Edward Norton somehow managed to almost sink her career because he owed thousands in unpaid taxes.
