Me trying to convince you all to read the Timekeeper trilogy by Tara Sim, a thread:
What Is It: Timekeeper is a YA mlm trilogy set in a steampunk, alternate Victorian London that is mostly like our world, except technology is a little more advance and also—CLOCKTOWERS LITERALLY CONTROL TIME. The main character is a clock mechanic who works on these towers.
My elevator pitch of this book: “Do you ever really just wanna *clenches fist* fuck a clock?”
My serious pitch of this book: a clock mechanic falls in love with the human-like spirit of the clock tower he is assigned to fix. Trouble and also romantic cuteness ensues.

Unique things about this book series:
-I mean, the concept is awesome
-There are MAJOR plot points that deal with the British occupation of India, which I never see get discussed in YA
-Indian and Part-Indian major characters
-Victorian London but it’s NOT homophobic

The love interest/deuteragonist Colton is PERFECT for all my Wylan stans out there
Victoria Schwab is a fan!
Danny and Colton are good boys and you will love them. Did I mention they’re good boys and you will love them? Because they are and you will.
Each and every one of the major female characters are badass career women who literally take no shit from anyone. One of the female characters is also our lovely tritagonist.
I’d just like to really drive home the point that Danny falls in love with a ghosty clock boi. It’s priceless.
The first book is slow and seems a little surface level but y’all have GOT to trust me on this one. Everyone is always looking for more great gay fantasy series and you will really hit the jackpot with this one. Do it for me. Do it for yourself.
Do it for Danny and Colton.
