“DO THEY EVEN KNOW IT’S CHRISTMAS” = THE white savior holiday theme song. WHY is this song still being played? It’s so blantantly terrible it almost feels beneath us to explain all of the reasons it should have been canceled before it was ever written. But, since we’re here...
“And in our world of plenty we can spread a smile of joy. Throw your arms around the world at Christmastime”.

.... So, this was written about an Ethiopian famine in the 80‘s. We really need you to STOP using African poverty to make you feel grateful for what you have.
“But say a prayer, pray for the other ones. At Christmastime it's hard, but when you're having fun. There's a world outside your window & it's a world of dread and fear. Where the only water flowing is the bitter sting of tears”.

DREAD & FEAR.
BITTER STING OF TEARS...
“And the Christmas bells that ring there are the clanging chimes of doom.

Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you”.

NOPE.
NAH.
HELL NO.
“And there won't be snow in Africa this Christmastime. The greatest gift they'll get this year is life. Where nothing ever grows. No rain nor rivers flow. Do they know it's Christmastime at all?

THERE ALSO WON’T BE SNOW IN FLORIDA? Do THEY know it’s Christmas time at all? 👀
Along with SO MUCH ignorance about the African continent, the climate is incredibly diverse. Multiple countries have snow on top of mountains like Kilimanjaro & Rwenzori as well as mountainous regions in Morocco, Ethiopia, Algeria & South Africa.

WE ALL KNOW IT’S CHRISTMAS.
“Here's to you. Raise a glass for everyone. Here's to them -
Underneath that burning sun. Do they know it's Christmastime at all? Feed the world. Feed the world. Feed the world . Let them know it's Christmastime again”.

YEAH, CHEERS TO FAMINE! Hopefully this shitty song helps!
