Glass Maskiconic & classic Shoujo manga about a genius MC & her INTENSE love & devotion for acting. underdog MC; ppl always underestimate her bcs of her looks & poor background but recognized as a rival by another genius actress. still THE BEST acting manga to this day.
Kono Oto Tomare group of highschoolers that plays Koto (musical instrument) aiming to revive their club & win the national tournament. very lovable cast, cute romance uwu & lots of emotional moments w/ great art.
Team Medical DragonA medical manga with lots of political elements involving the MC and his team versus corrupt higher-ups in the hospital. MC is a surgeon that partners up w/ another female doctor that wants to publish a thesis abt Batista prosedure & become dept. professor.
CapetaMC initially starts w/ kart racing & starts to work into becoming a professional racer (formula racing). despite his poor background (kart racing is expensive af), with prodigious talent & hardwork he's KILLING it. also the amount of hype??? out of this world.
Dance! Subaru sports w/ female protagonist?? you've found it. strong, ambitious & complex character. follows her journey as a professional ballet dancer w/ tragic past still haunting & affecting her. the sketchy art is really good at portraying the intensity of the dance.
Jina neurosurgeon that time traveled back from modern times to Edo period. With his modern medical knowledge, he faces various fatal diseases, deadly plague and injuries at that time where there's no cure or ways to heal it.
Nobunaga no ChefAnother time travel manga the but MC is a chef instead. Ken wakes up in war-torn 16th century Japan without any past memories. He becomes Oda Nobunaga's personal chef at the castle and continues to impress people with meals that never existed during that time.
Ao No Orchestraex-violinist decided to take up violin once again in highschool after he met this girl. he joined Orchestra club and meets a lot of other great musicians plus more drama.
Blue PeriodMC inspired to do art and pursuing to get accepted into an elite art school despite having no prior art experience. the MC is not a prodigy but he's a genius of hardwork. even after 954 failed attempts, he doesn't give up & we just want to root for him.
King Golfdelinquent gets himself involved in playing golf bcs he wants to prove how lame it is but actually starts to be passionate about it. follows his career in golf & over time obtains many wins & defeat various opponents. makes playing golf the most badass thing ever.
Hinomaru Zumoucriminally underrated. MC is aiming to become Yokozuna (the highest rank in sumo) despite his small and short build. he's the most badass short guy you'll ever see and very inspiring as well. also, one of few shounen w/ great side romance.
Hammer SessionMC is a con-artist that managed to escape out of the police truck that is on way to the prison. Then, he accidentally become a highschool teacher under a new identity while hiding his past as a criminal.
AKB49 - Renai Kinshi Jourei MC decide to join an idol group (AKB48) by auditioning in order to help his crush fullfil her dream to become an idol. Sounds silly but this manga really shows the amount of blood, sweat & tears of idols in order to succeed in a cutthroat industry.
Wild LifeAfter saving a small dog from dying, MC is determined to become a veterinarian and resolved to save more animals. This manga won the Shogakukan Manga Award for shounen in 2006.
