nobody wants to hear my two cents but like... when @/notedchampagne proposed pinoy karkat WHILE being pinoy, that shit resonated w me so much. if a white person did the same, i just wouldnt feel the same connection bc they arent hcing karkat as pinoy bc they relate to being pinoy
they're just... hcing him as pinoy bc its fitting, ig? like its just different when poc represent themselves thru poc headcanons and having discussions abt that representation vs. white ppl telling poc about their poc headcanons. i still encourage white ppl to have poc-
headcanons just don't walk into a conversation between poc and state "oh i like [race] [character] too" when theyre likely... discussing those personal experiences they have as poc and why they see that reflected in the character. like idk if im making sense but??
its just everyone attacking dani like that rly rubbed me the wrong way. im not gonna put things lightly. youre white. you dont understand that frustration we have or that connection we have. and youre never going to. so just listen and ask questions and better urself.
