Awesome! If this gets made, I really hope they bring Yoshitaka Amano on board in some capacity. The author, Michael Moorcock himself said that Amano captured "the essential spirit" of his characters better than any other! https://twitter.com/ComicBookNOW/status/1196941223304413184
In fact, that previous block of text is just a small part of an entire tribute to Amano, written by his longtime patron Michael Moorcock. It's a great read and touches on the tremendous influence of Japanese art on the greats of the West and vice versa (I live for this stuff!)
You can read the entire essay here:

It's a quick read, but it goes deep!

In this essay, Michael Moorcock also heaps praise on a statue of Elric adapted from Yoshitaka Amano's work by another GOAT master, Takayuki Takeya. Moorcock says it's on par with the best of Art Nouveau!
Here's a better look at Takayuki Takeya's beautiful sculpture of Elric. It's beautiful from every angle! Takeya is masterful at 3d composition!

Here's another Takayuki Takeya statue of Vampire Hunter D. Nobody does a better job of translating Amano's ethereal paintings into three dimensional form!
Keep in mind, the source illustration from Yoshitaka Amano was from the back view! Meaning Takayuki Takeya had to invent all those beautiful shapes for the front view himself!
Anyway, if you're a longtime Amano fan, whether you consciously realize it or not, you've also been a fan of Elric of Melniboné this whole time!
Also, it almost goes without saying, but if a live action Elric gets made, they should get Takayuki takeya on board as well. Michael Moorcock already loves his work AND he's got decades of experience designing costumes and characters for Kamen Rider and other shows!
