"In the Expectation of Recovery" Misleading Medical Research and Welfare Reform by George Faulkner

It's now 4 years to the week since @davidtuller1 first published his blog on the PACE trial, and yet here we are still fighting for these errors to be corrected. http://www.virology.ws/2015/10/21/trial-by-error-i/
Numerous errors have been pointed out to @thelancet and yet not one of them has been corrected. It's even hard to get them acknowledged. I tried pointing some of them out to @richardhorton1, only to receive the glib answer, "I'm sorry you feel like that."
Serious failings in the peer-review process mean that researchers effectively mark their own homework, embedding methodological flaws and entrenching myths and misconduct.
Yet no one seems to care. It's just business as usual.
I've tried to get them to talk to me, but for some reason they won't.
Maybe I'm just doing it all wrong. I don't know where to start. Pointing out flaws probably isn't the best place to start, but what else do you do?
To echo what RH recently said on #Panorama, this is not about blaming individuals, this is about finding out where the system has gone wrong and fixing it.
Had this happened 9 years ago, we'd be in a much better position to help those with #longcovid now.
