I am Working on Breaking Down the Language that People Use as they Communicate & How & Why it is Being Used.

I am Then Examining what Words we use back -

How & Why we are using Certain Words,

Who it May Benefit, & Who it May Harm.
I have Talked About This Many Times Before...

As I am Working on Being Vigilant to What is Being said I am Finding Blame in the words.

This Blame was Intentionally Woven into what We say & Hear by Colonial Minds Started with the Purpose to "Kill The Indian, Save The Man."
As Time Has Passed Forced Assimilation has Changed The What, How, Why of the Way we Use Language.

The Language Being used is a "Stand In" that Many of us Use to Communicate in Ways that Allow us to Relate as we did Before Assimilation.
We Adapted.

We are Using This Language in Ways that Make Racist People So Angry Because we are Daring to "Not Follow the Original Rules."

English is a Foreign Language in the US.

The Language was Intended to be Adopted NOT Adapted.
So, Due To The Fact We are Adapting, Racists are Forced to Adapt as Well.

We can See Samples of that Everywhere.

The Words of Dr. Arika Coleman Ring True Here, "The Language of Racism Has Changed."

The Same Racism is Communicated in New Ways.
As I Read & Listen:

This "New Language of Racism" is Perpetrated Leaving the False Impression That Fault Belongs to the Oppressed.

Example:

History will Repeat itself if WE don't Learn From it.

VS

History will Repeat itself because it isn't taught Honestly, or at all.
Those Two Statements are Widely Different.

I Notice Use Of the Word "We" Often.

It seems like such a Harmless word...it isn't.

The use of the Word "Our".

You Will see this Often With Titles Like:

"Our Racist History."

The Word "Our" Implies Ownership.
Or "Our Troubled Past."

IMO, This is a way to Slowly & Methodically normalize complicity in Racism Being Faced.

"Our" Implies Complicity.

In My View, To Underestimate those that mean to do us harm is one of the most Damaging & Dangerous things we can do.
