A note to our Kurdish brothers & sisters in arms from a Veteran.

Please know we did not want to leave you, it goes against everything we have ever known as soldiers. We wish our command would have done the right thing & disobeyed an unlawful order.

We begged them to stay..

Now we sit here in Iraq displaced knowing that our allies, part of our army is dying without us. We a torn inside to our core.

Please know that we will be back beside you & we left you physically but not in spirit.

This may just be me but I imagine it’s majority of soldiers.
