No, I don't capitalize the "w" in white b/c folks are still not grasping that whiteness is a fluid social construct based on skin color. People who pass as white today were not considered such 100 yrs ago. Some people passing as white are not European. It's just anti-Black racism

Folks have a meltdown whenever it's time to examine what it means to be "white" because the culture of white supremacy has always dictated that whiteness is the only identity that requires no examination. To be "white" is to be human & normal. Everyone else is the "other"

Whiteness is not really an independent culture or ethnicity. It's a social construct that has significance only because it represents elitism & privilege and is built upon the exclusion of whoever is considered non-white.

Having pale skin & European ancestry has never guaranteed people entry to "whiteness" and even if they are allowed to racially pass as white, religion & ethnicity can still make people targets of white supremacists. Italians, Irish, Jews & Poles often weren't considered white
