How to raise young conservatives on into college: My oldest, a college sophomore and RA says she has to hide her politics within her housing department-evidently the most liberal area of her fairly conservative state engineering university.
Within her RA group, she has found another girl as conservative as she is. She supposed that she is unlikely to be influenced because her politics and ideology was so firmly in place before she headed to college. She has noticed
That her closest friends from HS, now at other colleges are becoming indoctrinated. She thinks it’s because they didn’t discuss politics and values in the home to the extent we do. Apparently our family talks politics far more than any of her friends. The ones that are still..
The most conservative are the one from families that had the most political discussions. I find this theory of hers very interesting. Anyone else notice this?
