So the UK announced last week that the Post Study Visa is back. This thread will try to explain what it means for you and how you can benefit from this.
The post study visa is a 2 years visa granted to international students who have just completed their degrees; undergraduate or postgraduate.
The purpose of this visa is to enable graduates have ample time to find jobs that can then support their work permit visas.
The tier 2 visa is different from the post study visa. While the tier 2 visa requires a job with a registered sponsor, the post study visa only requires your certificate.
To study in the UK, you need to have 40 points; 30 points is from your CAS (I'll explain shortly) and 10 points is from your maintenance fees (finances)
The UK student visa, I dare say is the easiest study visa to get if you get your documentation right.
If you have 5 credits in your WAEC/NECO, which includes; C6 in English WAEC or C4 in English NECO, your university application will be an easy ride.
After your get a conditional offer, endeavour to fulfill the conditions, which normally are; pass your current degree and pay the deposit towards your course.

On the average, you'll be looking between £10000 - £20000 in school fees, depending on the school you choose.
Most schools require you to pay 40% deposit to secure your CAS, while some peg it at £3,500.

Your CAS is issued after paying the required deposit and the school is convinced you can show that you have access to the balance and your maintenance fees.
For example, if your school fees is £10,000 and your school is within London, you'll need to pay the school £3500 or 40% (£4000) depending on what the school requires in order to get your CAS.
For the maintenance, you'll need; school fees - deposit plus £1265 * 9 = £11385:

10000 - 3500 = £6500 or 10000 - 4000 =£6000

£6500 + £11385 = £17885

Or

£6000 + £11385 = £17385

To be in your account for 28 days.
£11385 is the maintenance you need if you are studying within London for more than 9 months.

If your school is outside the Borough of London, your maintenance is £1015 * 9 = £9135.
In a nutshell you need to proof that you can pay your school fees and you can maintain yourself while studying.
This no doubt is a lot of money, so one advantage of the post study visa is; you get to work full time to make your school fees back or pay back the loan, and you still get to find a job with a registered sponsor for two years.
It is also possible to move your family with you to the UK if you are studying above undergraduate level. Your family here means; partner and children.
