"If we focus on mass shootings as a means of understanding how to reduce the number of people killed by guns in this country, weâre likely to implement laws that donât do what we want them to do â and miss opportunities to make changes that really work." https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/mass-shootings-are-a-bad-way-to-understand-gun-violence/
"As my co-workers and I kept looking at the data, it seemed less and less clear that one broad gun-control restriction could make a big difference." https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/i-used-to-think-gun-control-was-the-answer-my-research-told-me-otherwise/2017/10/03/d33edca6-a851-11e7-92d1-58c702d2d975_story.html
The VAST majority of gun owners, including those that own the AR-15 will never harm another human with it. https://www.wired.com/2013/02/ar-15/
I donât think restricting the rights of people who want to defend themselves against those who would seek them harm because a tiny fraction of them are murderers is any more rational than restricting the freedom of all Muslims because a small percentage of them are terrorists.
In 1996, The United States had 19,645 murders, of which 10,744 were with guns. In 2014, with the population up from 265,228,572 to 318,857,056, The United States had 14,249 murders, of which 8,124 were with guns. 1/4
14 states have passed concealed carry laws between 1996 and 2014 and the number of guns owned by civilians has increased from 242,000,000 to 357,000,000. During that same period the number of âgun murdersâ and murders has decreased. 2/4
While we cannot establish a causal relationship between having more guns and a decreasing murder rate. We can rule out the idea that more guns equals more murders. 3/4

Under @JoeBiden's gun control plan this guy would keep his AR and poor people would lose them and face 10 years for not paying up.
Many people who would have considered voting for him will not. This doesn't reduce gun violence. It criminalizes the poor.

If @TheDemocrats want to win Ohio they should swear off gun control. Announce they have decided to use empirical evidence instead of this deceitful nonsense and reduce gun violence with increased access to mental healthcare and a reduction of poverty. https://joebiden.com/gunsafety/
