It is partly age. time, and nostalgia. I hated Thatcher, and still the Tories. But there were some I admired - Ken Clarke, still. Chris Patten. Is it me or is it worse now? I'll go with it being me. Soft brain nostalgia, of which I don't approve.
Yo do have to be careful as you get older not to see through rose tinted specs. If history was so good, how are we here now? For those who don't where any specs: Why not?
But the point stands, had I made it in the first place: The is old, dead, affection even for monsters later. Will 45 also be venerated later? Answer: 'Yes but only by disciples.'

Have you seen The Iron Lady? Who knew Meryl Streep cld be so good. Have a friend who won't watch it cos he doesn't want to like Denis Thatcher, cos Jim Broadbent is always good. Doesn't want to be influenced. and Harry Lloyd as yng Den! Soft soap or what?

Fascinating in my head, just today, to compare and contrast 45 and Thatch. One with no brain at all, must be loved, the other with a fine brain, no need for love, seemingly. But how power makes similar.
