Renaud Camus is a French philosopher, novelist, and conspiracy theorist.

He is best known for his role as progenitor of an extreme far-right conspiracy theory called "The Great Replacement."

In French: "Le Grand Replacement"
In his 2011 book, "The Great Replacement," Camus argues "replacist" elites are exploiting a decline in White birth rates in France, & Europe more broadly, to replace the White population of Europe w/ non-European peoples—through a combination of mass migration and miscegenation.
Basically, it's a "White genocide" conspiracy theory, and it's popular.
Renaud Camus: “The great replacement is very simple." [...] “You have one people, and in the space of a generation you have a different people.” (2011)
"On August 11th, the Unite the Right procession marched through the campus of the University of Virginia. [...] They didn’t know that their rhetoric had been imported from France, like some dusty wine." https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/12/04/the-french-origins-of-you-will-not-replace-us

"HervĂ© le Bras, a director emeritus at the Institut National d’Études DĂ©mographiques[...] said that Camus’s proclamations about ethnic substitution were based on wildly inflated statistics about the number of foreigners entering France." Chatterton Williams, 2017.
"Afterward, Camus breezily responded on Twitter: 'Since when, in history, did a people need ‘science’ to decide whether or not it was invaded and occupied?'" Chatterton Williams, 2017.
"Although [Camus'] arguments are scarcely available in translation, they have been picked up by right-wing and white-nationalist circles throughout the English-speaking world." Chatterton Williams, 2017.
"In July, Lauren Southern, the Canadian alt-right Internet personality, posted, on YouTube, a video titled 'The Great Replacement'; it has received more than a quarter of a million views." Chatterton Williams, 2017.

"Seven and a half percent of all of the births in this country are illegal immigrants."
Eric Kaufmann’s ( @epkaufm) book includes a literal fertility map...
This assertion is at the crux of Kaufmann’s central thesis and it is entirely false. It’s part of why his book is so ridiculous.

I should add this:

Islamophobia is absolutely fundamental to this theory as well. Camus specifically warns about Muslim immigrants from North Africa and the Middle East. https://twitter.com/ifthedevilisix/status/1143874537265782784?s=20

Richard Lynn is mentioned very briefly in this @SamHarrisOrg interview.

Richard Lynn is a White supremacist eugenicist. He is cited 22 times in @charlesmurray's book. https://foetoprinces.com/2019/08/25/the-bell-curve-selected-bibliography
On March 12, 2014, Paul Ryan went on Bill Bennett's conservative radio show and endorsed the work of Charles Murray.

Remember how I mentioned Paul Ryan's endorsement of Charles Murray's *The Bell Curve*?

Well, Murray's co-author on that book, Richard J. Herrnstein, wrote a positive review of Jared Taylor's white nationalist book, *Paved With Good Intentions* (1992).
Richard J. Herrnstein on white nationalist Jared Taylor's book: "Let us hope that this important book does not itself become another victim of the conspiracy, and that it gains the visibility and attention it deserves."

"Miller sends a link to a Vox article suggesting that SAT scores have dropped in part because of the inclusion of more 'poor and nonwhite students' than in previous years. Miller then suggests Breitbart take a look at 'The Camp of the Saints.'"
"Miller suggested McHugh draw information from an American Renaissance article in early July 2015, she told Hatewatch. McHugh’s recollection is backed up by emails appearing to refer to that article, which focused on a favorite topic of Miller’s in the emails– interracial crime."
