“Heylhi” - the beautiful palm trees between the last set of houses and the beach.

“Filaa” - this flat piece of carved wood, painted with white clay, served as a “reusable book” on which most of us learned to read and write.
A big part of the learning for the kids was also the discipline of having to wash, clean, make the clay paste & re-paint.

Fish barbecue inside an old wheelbarrow on the beach, is a favorite for family gatherings. But we gotta catch the fish ourselves first!

“Kaani maa” - I spent hours on the beach plucking these flowers from lower branches & trying to taste as many droplets of sweet nectar from them.
