Contradictory views held by many people on the left/green political spectrum (German perspective):

Believing that Donald Trump is jointly responsible for right-wing terror attacks while also believing that shouting "Allāhu akbar" has nothing to do with Islam and that real communism has never been tried.

Wanting to dismantle capitalism in order to fight climate change while also favoring mass immigration from poor countries to rich capitalist countries which would lead to a massive increase in those people's carbon footprint.

Believing that cultural differences play a larger role than genetic variation while also calling people racist who oppose certain cultural influences.

Pointing out that more people are killed by falling out of bed than die in terror attacks while believing that nuclear power is too dangerous and that glyphosate needs to be outlawed.

Arguing that allowing people who are too far to the right of the political spectrum to speak will lead to a normalization of their ideas and customs and that banning teachers and pupils from wearing a headscarf in schools is racist and intolerant.

Believing that immigration shouldn't be limited but that mass tourism should be limited because it hurts the local culture and environment.

Believing that neither human races nor borders exist and that everyone is welcome everywhere while at the same time arguing that Jews are really Europeans and that Israel only belongs to the Palestinians.

Advocating against the deportation of criminals to Afghanistan and Mali because of the intolerable security situation in those countries while demanding that our troops are withdrawn from those places despite the fact that they want them to be there in order to maintain security.

Claiming that climate change is an existential risk but that we need to phase out of nuclear power and ban crops that were genetically modified to be drought-resistant because those things are too dangerous.

Arguing that violence against fascists is justified in order to protect the liberal character of the country while also demanding that the state should spend less money on police, intelligence, and the military.
