Starting From Gujarat :

Most underrated fact: Though Gujarat is dry state. If you have tickets and parem. residence proof out side of Gujarat. You are allowed to buy limited liquor from Army Bars or 5 Star Hotel Bars. Also you can drink as much as want at Daman and Diu being Union Territory.
You can cover everything on bus. Also train are there but buses will add more flexibility. Most of the package starts with Dwarka which I dont recommend.
You can start from Southern tip and end at western tip covering everything in anti clock wise direction. Lets go by clusters
1) Surat Cluster (1- 2) days. Daman is nearby union ter. Also Udvada, The first place of arrival of Parsi community and Dandi is the historic landmark, where the namak satyagraha ended and India's independence began.
Saputara is a small hill station located in Sahyadris or Western Ghats. Saputara town is part of Dang district in Gujarat. It is a tourist destination. Its around 3.5 hour drive from surat. That is the Home to many of the scheduled tribes of Gujarat with reach natural heritage.
2) Bharuch - Baroda Cluster (4 days) : After Surat the next destination is bharuch, which is closes town on river bank of Narmada and on way to baroda. From here you can visit the whole upstream of Narmada till Statue of Unity and Sardar Sarovar Dam, Raj pipla district.
Kabirvad is a banyan tree located on a small river island in Narmada river. It is Bharuch district, Gujarat, India. The tree and place is associated with 15th century mystic-poet Kabir. There is a temple dedicated to Kabir. You can stay in Narmada riverbank's asharams at night.
Next destination is Baroda, known for Lakshmi Vilas Palace, the residence of Baroda State's Maratha royal family, the Gaekwads, of the Gaekwad Dynasty. Sightseeing will take one day. An important industrial, cultural and educational hub of western India.
Pavagadh is a Hill Station, 46 kilometres (29 mi) away from baroda, known for a famous Mahakali temple which draws thousands of pilgrims every day. The area of this locality Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park was inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 2004.
After that You can Visit Dakor, It is a Small City in Kheda district in the state of Gujarat, India. It is prominent for its grand temple of Shree Ranchhodraiji, Krishna. It is 2.5 hour away from Pavagadh in way to Ahmedabad. Darshan stay open from 4.15 P.M to 7.30 P.M
3) Ahmedabad -Gandhinagar Cluster(4 days): The city needs no introduction, First place to visit Gandhi Asharam, RiverFront, IIM Ahmedabad. Kankariya Lake, PRL, ISRO, Calico Museum of Textiles as part of tour of heritage arch, Jama Masjid and Ahmad Shah's Mosque is oldest arch.
Hutheesing Jain Temple, Sidi Sayad Net (IIMA logo), Heritage Walk will cover all other important places. modern arch. Near by is the Adalaj , famous for Adalaj Step wave on way to Gandhinagar, which also hosts Akshardham temple. It is capital of State on banks of sabarmati.
Next is The Sun Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the solar deity Surya located at Modhera. It was built after 1026-27 CE during the reign of Bhima I of the Chaulukya dynasty. No worship is offered now and is protected monument maintained by Archaeological Survey of India.
Next one is Patan, an ancient fortified city, was founded in 745 AD. It is home of Rani ki vav, or Ran-ki vav (Queen’s stepwell), constructed during the rule of the Chaulukya dynasty. Prabandha-Chintamani, composed by the Jain monk Merutunga in 1304. Both place are near by.
4) Kathiawar Cluster (6 days): At Rajkot, Capital of Kathiawar Statehood you can enjoy Dolls Museum (First of its kind), Alfred School (M.K. Gandhi's First School), Gandhi's childhood Home and enjoy lots of Veg Spicy Street Food. After that you can directly move to Dwarka.

You can spend half of the day after morning Darshan of Lord Krishan at Shree Dwarkadish Temple and Bet Dwarka temple. Bet Dwarka is considered a part of the ancient city in Indian epic literature Dvārakā, the abode of Krishna, found in Mahabharata and Skanda Purana.
Bet Dwarka or Shankhodhar is an inhabited island at mouth of Gulf of Kutch situated 3 km (2 mi) off the coast of Okha, Gujarat, India. It is a strip of sand and stone situated 30 km (19 mi) north of town of Dwarka. Dhwarkadhish Temple and Shri Keshavraiji Temple are major temples
Coming down from most west tip of india, next is Porbandar, It is Costal City known for Sudama, A childhood Best Friend of Krishna and birthplace of MK Gandhi. You can spend full day here covering as many as you like from below attractions in and around city.
Next one is Junagadh, located at the foot of the Girnar hills meaning old forts. It is also known as "Sorath", the name of the earlier princely state of Junagadh. It takes full 2 days with rest to visit city and Girnar hills. Girnar is must visit Hill of Gujarat.
On the way to Somnath, Gir Forest National Park is a wildlife sanctuary in Gujarat, western India. It was established to protect Asiatic lions, who frequent the fenced-off Devalia Safari Park, along with leopards and antelopes. You can book safari in advance and spend full day.
Next is The Somnath, temple located in Prabhas Patan near Veraval in Saurashtra on the western coast of Gujarat, is believed to be the first among the twelve jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva. You can spend the whole evening enjoying the setting sun.
Next, Diu is a town in Diu district in the union territory of Daman and Diu, India. Diu District is the tenth least populated district of India. The town of Diu lies at the eastern end of Diu Island and is known for its fortress and old Portuguese cathedral. It is a fishing town.
INS Khukri or Khukri memorialnear Chakratirth Beach, known for sunset shots. There are three Portuguese Baroque churches. Nearby Nagoa beach and offshore lighthouse are popular destinations, and the coast is a popular recreational area for parasailing, boating and jet skiing.
Now last but not least Kutch because if you visit Gujarat during Winter, Kutch is must visit via Ran Utsav. Kutch is largest district of India. It have, Dholavira, which contains ruins of an ancient Indus Valley Civilization/Harappan city. Oldest town Anjar among many. Done!
