This is possibly the rarest digital promotional album for all the NCT units. These were only given to the producers of music shows that NCT 127 performed. There’s possibly around 10-15 copies floating around the market. These four signs are similar to a level of degree.
Now for those of you who noticed, yes they are signed in different spots. Signature varies for certain members especially Ty, Taeil and Ten. Mark, Doyoung and Jaehyun are pretty much consistent in their signature spot. The pen that they signed on varies too, some were signed—
on a more thicker pen than the others. There are some digital promos that were addressed to the producers personally on the inside of the booklet. It came with little messages, but this is not the case for all since my promo does not have a To : producer message.
If you are looking for the silver “bimae” not for sale sticker, it is normal not to find one. All of these NCT U 7TH SENSE have no sticker on the back.
Are there manager signed for NCT U 7TH SENSE—no. In my opinion, NCT U were a rookie group who just debuted. The schedules weren’t as busy for their managers to sign their albums compared to now. Rookie groups tend to sign their own promotional albums especially if its a digital.
ARE THERE FAKE NCT U SIGNED ALBUMS—maybe. I remember back when they released the digital single, some PO people in the Philippines released a bootleg copy of these albums with fanmade Photocards. There were no signatures on it, but the album was an identical copy of it.
My advice: be wary if you manage to find a unsigned copy of this album. If the printing of the photobook looks very pixelated and the colors are more contrasted and “yellow” chances are it’s the bootleg “unofficial” copy. These albums are rare so you won’t find anyone selling—
them for $20-$50. If the deal seems too good to be true, always ask for a legit check. DM me if you need more help.
160824—NCT DREAM CHEWING GUM.
Similar to NCT U THE 7TH SENSE, NCT DREAM also released a digital single. They promoted on music shows but did NOT release a physical album. The signatures are signed on the jewel case like NCT U.
A major difference is SM started putting “bimae” silver stickers on the back of the album. Unlike NCT U 7TH SENSE which has NONE.
Depending on how the album was taken care of, signatures will fade over time. Every member in NCT DREAM signed on their designated spots and did not sign elsewhere.
ARE THERE MANAGER SIGNED PROMO ALBUMS FOR NCT DREAM CHEWING GUM—no. Again, similar to NCT U’s situation, NCT DREAM just made their debut as a rookie group. Rookie groups tend to have more time to sign their albums since schedules are not as packed.
ARE THERE FAKE NCT DREAM CHEWING GUM SIGNED ALBUMS—Yes. Unfortunately like I mentioned before some PO people from the Philippines have made their own bootleg version of the real copy. My assumption is they purchased a real copy and “re-created” it by printing the signatures—
that were on the casing to the booklet. If it is signed on the booklet, it is 100% PRINTED AND FAKE. NCT DREAM did NOT sign on the booklet, only on the jewel case cd. These are legit signatures, but they’re printed on the booklet.
The fake bootleg version comes with an “unofficial” photocard of the member. NCT DREAM did not put any photocards in their physical copy of the digital album.
It is important to note that the same people who did the bootleg unofficial version for nct dream PROBABLY did a bootleg copy for NCT U. I saw the video of a person unboxing a BOOTLEG copy of nct u but sadly it’s been taken down on YouTube. ⚠️
My advice: do not purchase unsigned copies of NCT DREAM CHEWING GUM OR PRINTED SIGNED COPIES THAT ARE ON THE BOOKLET. If the price is cheap $20-$30 chances are it’s fake. NCT DREAM had around 20-30 promotional digital signed albums. It’s way more than NCT U and more common—
in comparison to the 7th sense. If you are doubtful of the legitimacy for NCT DREAM, send me a dm and I will gladly help.
160706—NCT 127 FIRETRUCK.
This is the debut physical album for NCT 127. It is not a digital single. ⚠️ There are SOME forged signed albums. Generally, the signatures vary in terms of the pen they used. Some of Taeil’s signature looks different, but that’s because it’s signed either from the beginning or—
the end of the promotion. Since NCT 127 just debuted, a few signatures were going on experiment for some members. They’re either a little bit simplified or detailed. This does not mean it’s manager signed.
Similar to NCT DREAM, this promotional album does have a “bimae” sticker on the back. However, there is no “not for sale” sticker. [ As we go deeper into NCT’S ERAS there will be a “not for sale” sticker. ] The logo sticker is placed on the front of NCT 127 promo signed album.
These albums are NEVER signed on the front cover. It is always signed inside the booklet. The front cover is left for messages to the producers of the music shows. Some of the names of the producers were intentionally removed by them due to selling it after receiving them.
Occasionally you will find NCT 127 signing with a very dark and thick pen. It is normal. There are a few copies out there that look like these. The placement is always in the SAME spot. They have designated spots.
C1 signed albums exist for NCT 127 FIRETRUCK albums. My assumption is they were signed during the fansign and given out as a lottery. It could also be given out as an event since the signatures on this album are LEGIT, but it is a C1 album.
ARE THERE MANAGER SIGNED PROMOTIONAL ALBUMS FOR NCT 127 FIRETRUCK—Yes. Even though, they just debuted...some of the members already gained a ton of exposure due to NCT U. SM really tried their hardest to push 127, so their schedules were busy. The manager albums tend to have—
their rookie signatures from “2014” it’s really awkward considering it looks like “one person signing them all”. This is my assumption but these albums are not legit. ⚠️ Note: these are promo albums and not C1 signed albums.
Here are some more messier manager signed promotional albums. There is a “bimae” silver sticker.
ARE THERE FAKE NCT 127 FIRETRUCK SIGNED ALBUMS—Yes. The fake one seem nothing like the real signed one. These are usually signed with a C1 album, but like I shown you a legit C1 album, there are exceptions. Below is a fake signed by a reseller. It is C1 album.
My advice: NCT 127 FIRETRUCK SIGNED PROMO ALBUMS are very tricky. It’s easy to get confused with C1 stickers being a not legit indicator but that is not the case. It varies, depending on the signature. There is no “not for sale” sticker/label.
If you have any questions regarding NCT 127 FIRETRUCK SIGNED, send me a dm.
170104—NCT 127 LIMITLESS.
Limitless was NCT 127 second mini album with 2 new additional members. From here onwards, there will be Doyoung and Johnny’s signatures included on the promotional album. A total of 9 members. (Taeyong, Jaehyun, Taeil, Yuta, Mark, Johnny, Doyoung Haechan, and Winwin)
Since the cover is very cluttered, it may be hard to see the signatures. The placement overall does not matter as much. Haechan signs on different spots depending on if there’s room for his sign. Normally you will see : Jaehyun->Mark->Doyoung.
There were 3 versions presented for this promo signed album: (from left to right) A | B | C. NCT 127 signed on all three different versions. It is confirmed that they did not use one specific version to sign for this promotional album.
Similar to NCT 127 FIRETRUCK PROMO SIGNED, NCT 127 once again placed the silver komca “bimae” sticker on the left corner of the album. There is NO “not for sale” sticker. They only signed on promotional albums. No C1 “gold” albums.
Most of NCT 127 LIMITLESS signatures are very consistent in this era. They’re more detailed, even though some vary in terms of the pen they signed with. There are different types of marker/pen NCT 127 signed for this era such as white/black. The more common ink is black.
Occasionally, for each era you will see promotional albums with little messages on the cover. It is To: a producer. Sometimes the name can be taken off and other times it is left on. This does not apply to majority of the albums since it’s less common to see a PD message.
ARE THERE MANAGER SIGNED PROMOTIONAL ALBUMS FOR NCT 127 LIMITLESS—No. I personally have not seen any manager signed for this era. As opposed to FIRETRUCK where there were a few instances, this era seems safe overall for signatures.
ARE THERE FAKE NCT 127 LIMITLESS SIGNED ALBUMS—Yes. The ones that are usually signed with fake signatures tend to have a “gold” C1 sticker. Majority of them were signed on the inside big card instead of on the cover. As you can see, the entire placement is out of order.
Placement for certain members matter especially if they have a designated signature spot. Like I mentioned before, (Jaehyun, Mark, and Doyoung) pretty much sign on the same spot throughout all the albums I’ve seen. The signature pattern on the fake one does not even match with—
the official postcards from the NCT 127 LIMITLESS album. For each era, all the members signatures will be slightly different if you compare it to their recent era, but for LIMITLESS era, the signatures on the promo albums matches similarly towards the album postcards.
My advice: Since Limitless was the second mini album for 127, it may be harder to find now since it’s been a few years. Do not purchase from people that are taking in “preorders” especially if they cannot give you an exact image of what the promotional album looks like.
Be wary of C1 sticker signed albums. Unlike FIRETRUCK era, I have not seen any C1 legit albums signed by NCT 127 floating around. If you have more questions regarding limitless era, send me a dm.
170208—NCT DREAM MY FIRST AND LAST.
This is NCT DREAM’s FIRST SINGLE ALBUM. Aside from their digital single chewing gum, my first and last is a physical album. It is signed by all members: Mark, Jeno, Renjun, Haechan, Jisung, and Chenle. All the members have a designated signature spot.
If you did notice, Jisung’s signature is the one with the most differences. This does not mean it is manager signed or fake, he just doesn’t have a set style or size for his signature. The other members are very consistent in terms of their signatures for size and detail.
The signatures are always signed on the cover of the album. It is never on the inside. There is a “bimae” silver sticker for promotional albums. On the bottom left corner, there is a “not for sale” sticker. SM started putting on these stickers for NCT DREAM MY FIRST AND LAST.
As for the pen thickness, some members signed with a bolder pen than others. Compare Mark’s signature with Renjun’s. There were two types of pens used, a marker and a thin pen. (This is just for reference and in no relation are these the brands they used)
For each era, there will be some To: PD message promotional albums. Usually we see if the album is a glossier type, it’s easy to wipe off the name, but other times the name is left on. In this case messages were written on the front of the cover and not on the inside.
Each promotional album varies in thickness based on their signatures. Some were signed with thinner pens while others were signed with thicker pens. This does not mean it’s fake. These albums were signed either at the beginning, middle or end of promotions.
As for C1 NCT DREAM SIGNED MY FIRST AND LAST albums, I have not personally seen any legit signed ones on the market. It is possible to have legit signatures on C1 gold sticker albums since SM does lottery events for regular signed albums. Please be wary if you ever encounter one.
ARE THERE MANAGER SIGNED PROMOTIONAL ALBUMS OF NCT DREAM MY FIRST AND LAST—No. It’s been a few years and I still have not seen any manager signed promotional albums for my first and last. Majority of the ones on the promo albums are legit signed by NCT DREAM.
ARE THERE ANY FAKE NCT DREAM MY FIRST AND LAST SIGNED ALBUMS—Yes. There’s been a ton of fake signed on C1 albums. These are not promo albums, instead are the normal albums fans can purchase. The placement of the signatures are out of order along with many missing details.
My advice: Placement for signatures 100% matter for my first and last era. If anything is out of order, do question it’s authenticity. Like I said before, the members have designated signature spots. If you have any more questions with this era, send me a dm.
170614—NCT 127 CHERRY BOMB.
NCT 127 Cherry Bomb is the 3rd Mini album with the members (in no particular order) Taeil, Jaehyun, Johnny, Winwin, Taeyong, Mark, Doyoung, and Haechan. There is a physical copy of the cd.
There are a variety of pens used for the signatures on the cherry bomb promotional albums. These are the promo albums that have a mix of thick markers with thin. As you can see some members decided to use a different marker to sign. It varies as in the first promo only winwin—
and haechan are signed with bold thicker markers compared to the second promo shown in the picture. The second one shows members Mark, winwin, and Haechan signing with thicker markers. Thicker markers does not mean it isn’t authentic. It just means NCT 127 used different markers.
These two are signed with thinner markers. As compared to the above, these were all signed with the same marker. There is also a “NCT 127 CHERRY BOMB” sticker on the right corner. The main difference between these two are Haechan’s signature.
For NCT 127 CHERRY BOMB during the beginning of the promotions, Haechan signed with his “Limitless” signature. Then towards the middle-end, he ended up signing some promos with his new “experimental signature”. A change in signature is normal since members signatures tend to—
evolve overtime. It does not mean it is a fake. Haechan’s signature from earlier eras have been very experimental since his rookies signature, firetruck debut sig, limitless sig and beginning of cherry bomb signature have all evolved into his current one.
There is an even mixture in terms of which signature of Haechan’s is more common since he switched his signature in the middle of promotions. Sometimes you will see the words “Hae” with or without his Hangul. Other times you will see his “H” with squiggles with or without Hangul.
Now there are promotional albums with no “NCT 127 CHERRY BOMB” on the right corner. These two are signed with the same thin marker. Generally, the ones with the NCT 127 Cherry bomb stickers are more common.
Of course, don’t be alarmed. ⚠️ Even if it seems strange, this is normal. NCT 127 signed with silver marker for some Cherry Bomb albums. These are promotional albums and not C1. As you can see, they have been signed at different times since Haechan’s signature varies. These are—
more rarer in the market because normally you see a type of black marker signed on the cover. This does not mean it is fake, they just signed with a silver marker. The signatures are legit.
The placement of the NCT 127 CHERRY BOMB matters. There are designated spots. You will always see Jaehyun on the left corner, Mark on the top middle and Doyoung on the right corner. Then the pattern follows with Johnny and Yuta. Finally, the last row belongs to Taeil, Winwin—
and Haechan. Promotional albums will always have a silver “bimae” sticker on the right corner along with a “not for sale” sticker.
There are instances where the majority of the members signed with thicker markers and stretched their signatures out. The signature size varies as the above examples had smaller signatures while this one is longer and bigger.
For NCT 127 CHERRY BOMB, there was a To: PD promotional album with a message. These were given specifically to producers of music stations. Usually you see the names crossed out due to the fact they do not want to be discovered for selling or throwing out the promotional album.
There are instances where C1 lottery albums were given out. The signatures are this album are legit. It is signed on a C1 album with no “not for sale” sticker. Usually these are the albums that are handed to fans for non-promotional purposes only. There is also no corner sticker.
There are also instances where the members signed in all “white” marker as compared to silver signed markers and black signed markers as shown above. However, there are members missing on the album. (Mark, Winwin, and Haechan are absent) This is a legit album and is also a C1.
ARE THERE MANAGER SIGNED PROMOTIONAL ALBUMS FOR NCT 127 CHERRY BOMB—Yes. During this era, some were floating around eBay with promotional “bimae” stickers. Even though I do not have the back side of this album, I remember from memory there were a few from this specific seller.
The above promotional album is most likely manager signed due to the correct placement but the signatures are not legit. It is far from being a perfect copy, but the managers tried to imitate the members signatures.
There are also “half” manager signed albums. Cherry bomb is very spread out in terms of variety. For this promotional album, the signatures of Doyoung, Winwin, and Haechan are 100% fake. It does not match any of their signing patterns for this era. I have circled the signatures.
ARE THERE ANY FAKE NCT 127 CHERRY BOMB SIGNED ALBUMS—Yes. Majority of the fake signed albums follow NO PATTERN at all. The placement of the signatures are all over the place and are signed in the inside booklet. NCT 127 will always sign on the cover. The inside is for messages.
The fake signed albums usually have a C1 sticker on the back. This does not mean all C1’s are fake. As you can see from the previous examples, some C1’s are real. The one here is very messy and does not show the correct placement in terms of member’s designated signature spots.
My advice: For NCT 127 CHERRY BOMB, there are a lot of varieties in terms of signatures and the type of marker the members used. It’s more complicated than limitless since majority of the members signed with just black marker.
The different colors for markers does not mean the album is fake. Overall, there is a mix of manager sign albums to look out for. Limitless was the era where buyers had much more reassurance. Cherry bomb has some red flags, but around 80% of the albums are legit.
Always question the authenticity if you come across an promotional album that doesn’t seem like the examples I’ve listed. I went ahead and found every possible example. If you have any more questions regarding NCT 127 CHERRY BOMB, send me a dm.
170817—NCT DREAM WE YOUNG.
This is NCT DREAM’S FIRST MINI ALBUM. The members who participated in promotions are in no particular order: Haechan, Renjun, Chenle, Jeno, Mark, and Jisung. NCT DREAM member Jaemin did not participate in promotions during WE YOUNG era. There were only 6 members.
For NCT DREAM WE YOUNG, there were an apparent signature change similar to what I mentioned for Haechan in CHERRY BOMB. This time, Jisung had signed using his sun doodled signature from the beginning, but later on changed his signature to a more simplistic style.
The signature placement for NCT DREAM WE YOUNG promotional albums vary. Since there was a designated signing spot for the members, majority of the members signed at the same spot, however, Renjun changed his signature spot from top to bottom or vice versa.
Some albums may be more detailed than the others. The reason behind is because during promotions if it’s signed at the beginning, albums tend to look better and more detailed compared to the middle or end when they are rushed and busy. These promos are legit, but lack the extra—
details such as hangul or doodles next to the signature. Usually, we see Jeno with his hangul and doodled smiley along with Jisung’s sun signature when they’re not busy. If they are busy, we see only Jeno’s signature with no hangul or doodle and Jisung’s simplified signature.
NCT DREAM WE YOUNG promotional albums will have a silver “bimae” sticker on the right corner. There is also a “not for sale” sticker placed in the middle. This indicates it is a promotional album and not a C1 album.
There are also To: PD promotional albums with messages. Like I stated before, the To can be erased or crossed out depending on the producer who sold it. If they want to stay anonymous, they will remove their name.
These message promos can be signed at the beginning, middle, or end. Like I stated before, if it’s signed in the beginning it’s most likely detailed and if it’s in the middle or end, it will have simpler signatures of two specific members. This message promo had the To: removed—
but if you squint closer you can see the To indent still there. Message promos vary according to when it was signed. This does not mean it is fake, it just means it was signed and given to producers at different times during promotions.
I mentioned during cherry bomb era, the members used different pens to sign. Some had thinner ones while others had thicker ones. They were all signed with one color marker, so seeing a different color for WE YOUNG promotional albums may be weird, but not impossible.
ARE THERE MANAGER SIGNED NCT DREAM WE YOUNG PROMOTIONAL ALBUMS—Yes. Although, it isn’t many there were about 5 from what I seen being sold in the market. I don’t have the full photos to the listing, but this is an example of it. It’s very low quality, but I will explain it.
Starting off with the placement, it is very good. Manager signed albums tend to be in the correct placement compared to fake signed albums by forgers. As we look closer, some details seem strange. The most obvious one is Mark’s signature.
The managers seem to be really good with copying the member signatures for this era. Upon first glance, you may not see it, but Mark’s signature is very tall and smooth compared to the manager signed which is very choppy and wide. His signature is actually one of the most—
consistent compared to the other dream members who change their signatures. Be wary when you encounter and NCT DREAM WE YOUNG promo that doesn’t necessarily look like the examples I posted. There are manager signed in the market and I said it before but all 5 got sold.
ARE THERE ANY FAKE NCT DREAM WE YOUNG ALBUMS—Yes. From what I had seen, placement for fake albums are everywhere. There isn’t a designated signing spot since everything is signed in a messy manner. Usually these fake albums are on C1 albums. I have not seen any C1 albums that—
are legit for this era. It isn’t impossible to have one, so do take caution when you see a C1 signed album.
My advice: For NCT DREAM WE YOUNG, it is the start of manager signed promotional albums for NCT DREAM. Although, it isn’t as common now, once we get into the more later eras, it will be. Thankfully, there weren’t many manager signed promotional albums. It’s still a very safe era.
If you have any more questions regarding we young era, send me a dm and I will get back to you.
180314—NCT 2018 EMPATHY.
NCT 2018 is the first full length album consisting of all 18 members of NCT. Members in participation are listed in the photo. This era welcomed new members: Jungwoo, Lucas, and Kun. Also, Jaemin came back from his hiatus and participated in promotions for NCT DREAM.
The members for NCT 2018 signed on two different versions: Reality or Dream. Pen pressure and thickness vary on each album since members either signed using a thick or thin marker. The placement for these promotional albums vary since there are a lot of different styles.
For NCT 2018, there are instances where the NCT members, specifically the 127 members signed on the inside page of the booklet AND on the front cover of the photobook. The color of the marker is different from black to silver. These are all promotional albums not C1.
The more common signature signing is on the front cover of the album and not the inside. The 127 members signed with black on the Dream version and Silver on the Reality version. The placement of the signature is not designated. Depending on the album, members will sign on—
different spots. Since these albums are signed during the beginning, middle, and ending promotions, placement will be different. This does not indicate it is fake, it just means they signed on different spaces depending on who received the album first.
Moving onto NCT DREAM, majority of the promotional albums were separated by groups. They signed on both the dream and reality versions. Depending on the version, some members may be missing, in this case Mark on the dream version.
There are also instances where all dream members signed on the reality version but included NCT U member Ten on the album. This does not mean Ten is in NCT DREAM, he just happened to sign the album with the dream unit.
The china line of NCT 2018 signed together on one album. The members on the promotional album are: Kun, Chenle, Lucas, Winwin, and Renjun. Rarely you will find Jungwoo here as well, but chances are very slim.
For promotional albums for NCT 2018 EMPATHY, there is a Not for sale sticker on the left corner along with the silver “bimae” sticker. This indicates that it is for promotional use and given to music shows of producers. It is normally not given to fans in general or at events.
Although this is rare, but Kun, Chenle, And Renjun signed on a dream promotional album and gifted it to Kun’s professor. This is most likely will never be on sale, but special dedication albums exist. This is not a producer To album.
There are also a combination of NCT 127 and NCT DREAM signing on the dream version of the album. This was given as an event prize, so it’s most likely a C1 album. On the first album, Renjun’s signature is missing and on the second album, Mark and Winwin’s signature is missing.
Next we have some OT18 signed albums. These were autographed by all of the members on the dream version. There might be a reality version, but it is highly unlikely given that the ones that were posted to the public were dream version. It could be signed on the cover or inside.
These might be a mixture of promo or c1 due to the fact that lottery ones exist a lot for this era. As in majority of the eras, there are special To: PD (producer) messages, however, this one is not specifically addressed. This is a message that Jaehyun wrote on an OT18 album.
In the next continuation, I will be explaining more in depth about the member version signed album on the cover and on the photobook. All the members will have their own section. These are in no particular order.
Please note these are not promotional albums and were given during the showcase lottery for empathy. All albums in the next couple of threads will be C1. Be prepared there are some fakes.
Renjun: starting off, his sig is very different in majority of his signed albums. What I mean by that is sometimes he will connect the RJ, other times he will spell it out fully, and lastly sometimes it’ll just be a R. He used a combination of thick marker and thin pen for this.
Renjun: other than the way he wrote his initials, his signature is very consistent. You may have seen that on some of the ot18 albums he had experimented and changed his sig, but this was after him signing these. So his new signature doesn’t apply. Of course, depending on the
mood of Renjun, he may still sign with his old sig or new one as seen in the upcoming we go up era.
Lucas: his signature is fairly consistent with some minor tweaks here and there. The most prominent of his signature is the way he initialed. It is always going to be L.C. He used a combination of different markers ranging from thin to very thick. He signed on the cover and the—
Now this is only based on my assumptions but because a friend notified me that she found a fake Lucas with a C.C from the same seller that sold her the fake Jaehyun and Taeyong albums, it makes me speculate that this C.C ones is indeed fake.
However, after doing more research I found another C.C one that is indeed real. It is definitely concerning now that people are releasing fake empathy signed albums because you have to be really familiar with the signature to tell the difference between fake and real.
Doyoung: for his signature, it is signed either small or big in the middle. Depending on what his mood is, he would sign on the bottom left corner, top right corner, or in the center. These are just a variety of his signing patterns considering there may be more. Sometimes he—
will not write his initials of “DY” and will leave it blank like the third example. This does not indicate that it is fake, he just did not write it. Doyoung for the most part has used a thick marker.
Johnny: his signature on the cover of the albums have been very consistent. The J and the S on the signature is very prominent and big. Sometimes he will not write his initials which is fine and other times he will write it. This does not mean the ones without are fake.
He used thick marker to sign on the cover of the album. Since the way he signs his name is usually his full name, it tends to take up a big portion of the album. His signature will always be big unlike the previous members I have written about.
Kun: He is by far the most consistent out of all the members. His signature is almost very identical or so similar. Since his signature is quite complex with many loops and strokes it’s hard to really replicate his sig. He is very detailed and will always write “KUN” on the—
cover of the album. For him, he used a thick marker to sign the albums. He always signs on the center in the same size, so you won’t see him signing in the corners. It will always be in the center.
Haechan: his signing pattern is similar in a way that you can tell there is a difference. He may slant his signature upwards or across as seen in these two examples. The most prominent of his signature is his H.C. He will always write that and it will not be in Korean. He signed—
in a thick marker but it isn’t as dark compared to the others. It might be because these two examples have been the later ones he signed but also it could be because he doesn’t apply as much pressure onto the cover when he signs.
Mark: similar to kun in terms of consistency, his signature for the most part does not change much. There are very minimal differences in these two albums. He likes to sign lightly so the thickness of his pen tends to fade once he is done with signing. The most prominent part—
is he always signs in the middle with his —mark name but not his intitials. It will always be on the album. He signed his albums lightly which does not indicate it is fake. Similar to Haechan’s situation, he might have applied pressure lightly or his pen is running out.
Jaemin: for the most part he signs in a similar pattern. It is not identical and sometimes he would write “nana” or “jaemin” in hangul. There are times where he might write a special message on the cover as seen in the 2nd example. He presses down on the album, resulting in a—
very thick consistency for his signature. He’s very open on doodling some extra things on the album like a tiny heart on the first example. For the most part, he signs in the center either a little to the top or bottom. His signature is big.
Jaehyun: majority of the time he starts from the same beginning to end. What I mean by this is he starts his first stroke at the lower end of the left corner and works his way up towards the top right corner. His signature is similar in each signed album of his, but he does not—
write any of his initials on it. It is just blank, only his signature. He signed on a thick marker but in terms of how fast he signed, he probably did not apply much pressure making it look like it’s lighter on some parts of his signature. The size of his bottom loop varies.
Taeyong: he usually signs on the center but it could also lead to him signing a bit more downwards to the center. Since taeyong’s signature is a bit long in length he tends to take up majority of the album. There are also his initials T.Y on it. He never writes his name in—
hangul. He signed on a thicker marker for the cover of the album.
Taeil: his signature is signed in many different spots. For the most part, he might slant a bit similar to jaehyun, or he will sign especially tiny in the corner like Doyoung. There are times where he signs in the center for his signature as well. Each album depends on his mood—
and he might put a messier version of his hangul underneath his signature. There are times where he doesn’t put anything at all. He signed with thin and thick marker. The difference in size of his signature does not mean it is fake.
Winwin: his signature is either very detailed or very simplified. There are two types of his signature to look out for. The first two examples are similar when he wrote out his full “winwin” while the last two examples are slightly shortened. It may seem messier for the—
last two but it does not mean it is fake. Winwin for the most part signed with a thinner marker but it is very thick in color making it appear darker. There are times where he signed with a thick marker but it slightly fades overtime depending on how fast he signed.
Ten: for the most part, he is very consistent with his signature. He always signs in the middle with either dark thick marker or a lighter thick marker. On the end of his sig, there with be a noticeable “R” shape. (Please note it is his sig and I’m just saying it is a R to make—
things a lot easier to identify) Again, the thickness of the different pen pressure does not mean the album is fake. It just means he used two different markers or signed it at different times.
Jeno: his signature is very consistent. There should be little to no differences. He always writes his hangul and puts a smiley face next to his signature. All the markers I’ve seen for him were dark and thick. He signs in the center, always.
Taeil(continuation)—I would like to also mention I forgot to include one of Taeil’s side signatures. I had it saved but I forgot to put it. Just in case you see this kind of signature, it is real.
Jisung: his signature is almost identical but there will be some extra doodles similar to jaemin. For the first example, he drew two hearts on his signature. It may not always be like that. Sometimes there will be doodles and other times there will be nothing. For sure, he will—
fill in his “J” with his own version of the smiley face. He uses a thick marker with thin tip to sign, resulting in a very vibrant and dark signature.
Yuta: for the most part his signature is always on the center. It is big and never small. His sign is almost if not identical to each other. He signed with a thick marker, which results in a very vibrant signature. There is no hangul or initials under his signature.
Jungwoo: each signature is slightly different due to the way he writes his “Zeus”. Some will be noticeable while others look squeezed in. He does not write any hangul or initials on the bottom of his signature. The signature is always on the center and never in the corners. He—
signed with a thick marker and because some of it is on the darker parts of the album, it is kind of hard to see unless you shine light on it.
Chenle: for the most part, he likes to sign on the left top corner. The pen pressure will depend on which type of marker he used and which tip it is. The first example is lighter compared to the second which is slightly darker. He will always write his full name “CHENLE” under—
his signature. Since his signature is more complex, it is harder to replicate based on how many strokes and specifics it takes.
Are there fake NCT 2018 EMPATHY albums—Yes. Since there are so many types of fakes, I will break it down in a more organized way.
Starting off, there had been fake personalized albums. What I mean is that these albums are specifically written in the form of To: (fan) and not producer. It is nearly impossible for this era to get a personalized album although it had been possible in the past. An example of—
a fake is the one I posted above. Since it is To a fan, it is probably done by a forger who takes in orders for each era. There is a lot of these preorder sellers on twitter, so it is very difficult to trust them especially when they claim they are an insider and can get you—
a personalized album. All the signatures also do not match the members signatures. Again, because empathy’s signature pattern and alignment is a bit wacky and all over the place, people who forge do not have a correct designated spot. Do not fall for these!
Next, is a more common fake. Since majority of the empathy albums are signed on the front of the album, foragers tend to try to trick people into believing these albums are legit by copying the original. Of course, the designated signing spot is really off along with the members—
considering that empathy is broken down into 127, dream, china line, and dream with Ten. The album I posted above has some dream members along with 127 and China line but it is not a full 127 and dream album or OT18. The signatures are all OFF and messy in a way that some people—
may find it more difficult to identify who is signing since the signature looks completely different from the real signatures. In terms of quality, this is a very obvious and poorly made replication. Do not buy!
Here we have a more uncommon fake. As you can see, I told you before on how some Empathy albums were signed on the inside cover. Foragers got a lot smarter and decided to replicate this process but their biggest mistake was to use gold marker. Yes, for this era, there was no—
gold marker. Only silver and black. Not all gold markers are suspicious, but for this era it is highly suspicious since NCT did not sign using gold for the darker background albums. Keep this in mind and stay wary of both especially when it looks as messy like these.
I think it’s pretty obvious that no one should fall for inside signed signatures. These are not fansigns! Remember that anytime it is signed on the inside, do not purchase. NCT never signs on the inside of the individual pages. The only time they will sign on the inside is the—
front cover of the album or the first page considering there was a NCT 127 signed inside page one with all of their signatures as shown before.
Are there signed manager copies—Yes. I have seen an empathy promotional album that was slightly off, but of course since it’s been so long I deleted the photo. I have no proof that there are manager signed era albums, but keep in mind and be wary if you see an album that is off.
Are there unique signed front case signatures—Yes! For this era, there had been some lotterys given. I only found two members, but they are signed on the hard cover casing and are C1. These are legit and even though Jungwoo signature is different from his empathy individual—
but this is his fansign signature. On fansign pages he has exactly signed like this so it brings me to the question that NCT signed these during the fansign and then gave them away later during events. These are really detailed as indiciated from Ten’s signature and Jungwoo’s.
Are there fake empathy 2018 showcase/lottery albums—Yes. Unfortunately a few have popped up. When comparing the Real (first image) with the fake (second image) the forager did a great job starting Jaehyun but ended up messing up horribly in the end.
Here is Lucas. Like I mentioned before the real (first one) is entirely different than the fake (second one) I explained the details on his individual post, so please scroll up to see a more detailed explanation.
Here is Mark. The first one (real) and the second one (fake) have some noticeable differences. The fake one is more rough and not as smooth like how Mark usually signs his albums. Plus, it is even more difficult to see his -mark under his signature.
Here is an even more obvious fake of the signed albums. Both jaehyun and doyoung are fake and you do not even need a real on the side to know these are fake. It is way off overall.
Extra—these are displayed in Coex but I have a feeling that later on it will be given away in some end of the year clearance box SM loves to do. So if they do give it away, then silver signed front cover albums will exist. Both dream and reality versions.
My advice— read the thread!!! Majority of the questions I have listed are about 90% answered. Chances are your question is already answered. As long as you read it throughly, you will pick up things since that is the whole learning process.
Adding onto this because I forgot to include this KUN, but there is a fake signed cover one that has been discovered. The first one is his real signed empathy since like I said before his signature is by far the most consistent vs a replication of what his signature is suppose—
to be. Always double check albums because empathy era had some of the best signatures but also so many fakes. It is a confusing era overall.
180903—NCT DREAM WE GO UP.
NCT DREAM WE GO UP is the second mini album. The member presented for promotions are in no particular order—Renjun, Jaemin, Chenle, Jisung, Jeno, Mark, and Haechan. It is their second OT7 album, since Jaemin came back from his hiatus.
Signatures for this era vary because some of the members—Chenle, Renjun, and Jeno signed differently depending on when the promotional album was autographed. It could be from beginning, middle, or end of promotions.
Promotional albums will always have the “bimae” or silver sticker on the top right corner. The “not for sale” sticker is always on the bottom right corner. Please keep in mind that C1 stickers are gold and will not have any “not for sale” sticker.
Promotional albums for this era have been a range from neat~messy. The promotional album Haechan is holding looks very simplified since many of the signatures do not have the hangul under. Please keep in mind that this doesn’t mean it’s fake, it’s just signed towards the end of—
of the other albums. Once in a blue moon, there will be a promotional album that has all of the members hangul along with jisung drawing a smiley face in his “J”. Normally, the promotional albums will have some hangul but not all will be presented.
These are the more common patterns of we go up signed albums. There is little to none hangul aside from the English writing of Mark and Haechan. Sometimes Jisung will doodle, but majority of the time the album will look like the second example.
Sometimes Jaemin will write his hangul but would get lazy and do squiggly lines to fill it in while other times he will actually write it out correctly. Also, Jisung would put two dots in his “J” and not fill in the mouth for some reason. This does not mean it is fake. They’re—
just lazy. There are instances where Renjun and Chenle preferred to sign on the top rather than on himself. This is not common because Renjun for the most part only signed RJ for some albums but not a big majority. Even though Jeno’s sig on the second example is short, it does—
not meet my standards of it being fake. He probably signed in a hurry and it shows that when in a hurry, the members tend to autograph in a very messy way. For the most part, the pens that are used for the album vary from thin to thick.
For the most part, Jeno’s signature seems to be the weirdest out of all of them. The first example is a legit one given that there’s a slight gap between his signature. Having this small gap is okay because compared to the second example which is very absurd, there is a big—
gap on the second one. That big gap does not look like his signature and brings me to conclude that there are some members that have been manager signed. It is quite obvious that out of all the NCT units, NCT DREAM has the most manager signed albums.
For Renjun, this signature is very rare. Since he had been trying to create a new signature since Empathy era, he has found the signature that he wants to do. It is more obvious for we boom because on a promo album I own, this signature is very similar towards his we go up one.
For each era, there are To: producer promotional albums. Most of the time, the name will be erased or purposely blocked out with sharpie to keep the owner confidential. These promotional albums are far the most legit since they are given and dedicated by NCT DREAM themselves.
If you compare the signatures of Jeno from the first dedication album to the second, you will definitely see a difference. This is the reason why I concluded that a little gap is okay, but a bigger gap is abnormal.
These albums are by far the most legit. These were given personally to a very important figure in Korea. As you can see Renjun is trying to change his signature up, which results in an inconsistent signature for him during we go up.
Sometimes, members Mark and Haechan were unavailable to sign these albums due to their conflicting schedules with NCT 127.
ARE THERE ANY FAKE MANAGER SIGNED ALBUMS—Yes. Unfortunately like I explained before I believe Jeno is the easy target. His signatures for these signatures don’t add up and are so different from the rest.
For the most part the other members look fine, but on the second album Renjun looks very odd looking. Since his signature was constantly changing this era, it’s confusing to conclude that it’s manager signed, but Jeno on the other hand does not put his long tail on the front.
It’s always a straight line to the bottom with SOME gaps or NO GAPS at all. The images below explain the differences between his downward line.
ARE THERE ANY LEGIT C1 SIGNED ALBUMS—I do believe some exist but personally I have not seen them. Since NCT do events where they would give away signed CDs, chances are there are some floating around for lottery’s or giveaways.
ARE THERE ANY FAKE C1 SIGNED ALBUMS—Yes. Unfortunately it’s quite obvious that the fakes are by eBay sellers who absolutely do not do any research for NCT DREAM signatures. It is obvious that this is fake due to how messy and absurd each signature looks. All of the we go up—
signed albums from this seller are fake. If you want to know the name of the seller, DM me so I can give it to you.
Overall advice: for the most part, the designated spots for NCT DREAM have been consistent. Like all NCT DREAM eras, there’s bound to be some manager signed signatures but generally this era has been very good in terms of legit promotional albums. I had prior doubts before for—
this era, but after finding more photos and comparisons, I trust my own judgment on what I stated in this thread for WE GO UP. If you have any more questions, feel free to DM me. Always ask for a second opinion, it’s better safe than sorry.
181012—NCT 127 REGULAR-IRREGULAR.
NCT 127 REGULAR-IRREGULAR is the first full album. The members who participated in the promotions are in no particular order: Taeyong, Johnny, Winwin, Yuta, Jaehyun, Taeil, Doyoung, Mark, Haechan, and Jungwoo. For this comeback, Jungwoo has been added as a permanent member.
Before I start explaining this thread, I want to warn everyone that there are some suspicious activity going on with these “bimae” albums. The silver sticker seems right at first, but it is missing the “not for sale” sticker which is crucial.
This album is slightly different from promotional albums due to the fact its missing the official “not for sale sticker”. It is also not a C1 due to the fact it’s missing the printed barcode that identifies C1 printed albums.
I would stay away from these not only because there is a sticker missing but also these signatures are most likely manager signed. The signature pattern does not follow how legit NCT 127 REGULAR-IRREGULAR should look like.
This era has been one of the busiest for NCT 127. Majority of the promotional albums have been signed in a hurry which results in a messier look. As you can see, member signatures such as Taeyong tend to be inconsistent. The first example shows Taeyong signing in a hurry while—
the second one shows his signature developing an “o” which is his neater signature out of the two. There are many variations to his signature such as this one where there’s a slight difference on his star. This does not mean it’s fake, it is just rushed.
NCT 127 signed on both versions of the album. The marker the member used ranged from thick to thin. Each designated spot is different as some were probably signed during a fansign, so the members passed it on to whoever was after them. Many promotional albums had been signed—
during fansigns. This also explains why some look messier than others because they are usually signed towards the end of the fansign.
During REGULAR-IRREGULAR era, there have been To: producer or “idol” promotional albums. The messages are usually written inside of plastic sleeve and on the front cover of the paper photobook. These are personally dedicated and it is normal to see some of these for sale.
DO C1 signed albums exist for REGULAR-IRREGULAR—Yes. These are legit C1 albums that NCT 127 signed on the “inside” of the photobook. The signatures are more neat in comparison to the ones signed on the outside. Both versions were signed. There is a designated spot. It starts—
with Johnny and ends with Yuta. There is also a signed C1 with this pattern that was hosted as a giveaway by an K-pop store on Instagram. This is legitimately signed and probably one of the best signature patterns for this era.
Are there manager signed promotional albums—Yes. As you can see from the first post, these “bimae” silver promotional sticker albums are 100% FAKE. The pattern does not match with NCT 127 signatures in general. It looks like the same person signed the whole entire album.
There are also some Yuta signatures on the promotional albums that look very off. Because of Yuta’s signature looking entirely different from his signature for this era, this signature is most likely manager signed. I would advise to go against buying these particular albums—
where Yuta’s signature looks off because there’s a high chance his signature is manager signed. Everyone else’s signature looks legit, except his.
Yuta’s signature should look like these examples. The first example is slightly less messier than his second example, but you can still see the similarity between the two.
Are there fake C1 signed albums—Yes. This C1 sticker also has a fake “not for sale” sticker next to it. It is abnormal for a barcode album to have a “not for sale” sticker due to the promos having no barcode at all. Also, even without mentioning the fake sticker, the signatures—
do not match up with legit NCT 127 REGULAR-IRREGULAR signed promotional albums. The pattern also does not match up with the legit C1 signed album. This is what I mean about legit albums.
As for the pen the members used, it ranged from thick to him marker. The ones signed on the inside cover were autographed with a thick marker and the ones signed on the cover vary from thick to thin. There’s also a mixture of thin and thick as shown in this example.
Of course, there are fake c1 signed cover ones too. This is from an eBay seller that always 100% sells fake signed albums. If you want to know the name of this seller, don’t hesitate to dm me. I will gladly reveal them for you.
Overall advice: NCT 127 regular-irregular era is the start of many manager signed albums. This is probably one of the worst eras for signatures in terms of neatness. It does get better for 127 once they reach superhuman era. I advise you to get a second opinion when buying these—
albums. There’s definitely a ton of fakes in the market, whether promotional or c1. If you feel like you’re album is off and want a second opinion, feel free to dm me.
181123—NCT 127 REGULATE.
NCT 127 released their first repackage album for regulate. The members who promoted during this era were in no particular order: Johnny, Jaehyun, Taeyong, Haechan, Jungwoo, Doyoung, Mark, Yuta, and Taeil. **please note winwin did participate with the photoshoot and album but—
ultimately did not promote during music shows. To see him sign a promotional album this time is very odd because he was busy preparing for Wayv activities. Normally for promotional albums for this era, his space will be left blank. If a space is filled in with his winwin—
signature, it is highly likely it is manager signed. SM has a habit with filling in the blank for missing members as I remember during Red velvet Rookie era, Joy was absent because of her drama promotions, so managers filled in her signatures. This might be the case for winwin.
Regulate is the era where I believe there are half manager signed albums. This is an example of a fully legit signed regulate album. As you can see there is a blank space for winwin.
A good indicator to tell which member is legit for this era is Mark and Jaehyun. Generally Mark has a habit of always putting his -mark underneath his name. There hasn’t been a time where he left it out from previous eras. Jaehyun’s signature is also very specific and you—
can tell whether or not his is faked due to the way he makes his oval loop and ending stroke. Even though that album has Haechan missing (probably due to his leg injury) he didn’t promote on music shows or attended fansigns. Normally promotional albums are signed during fansigns.
Of course, that is the only exception. There will be some regulate albums that are missing Haechan signatures and that is normal. Generally, most of them should be missing winwin’s signature.
Fansign information of Haechan and Winwin not participating. NCT 127 does sign a few of their promotional albums during fansigns so this is a good indicator Haechan was absent from signing that promotional album.
After comparing several promotional albums, some of Jaehyun’s signatures differ. For the first example, his oval is less round and very pointy along with his heart being undeveloped. Comparing this with the second and third example, his oval is very round and at the end of the—
tail is very loopy. This is an example of Jaehyun’s signature being manager signed. It is not easily recognizable at first, but looking at it closely and noticing the different details, it makes it more obvious.
Pay attention to the circled signatures on the first example. I said this earlier but mark not writing his bottom -mark is abnormal. When he is rushed, he still writes down his English name. It became a habit of his over the years. His signature without the -mark also differs—
in a way compared to the ones with -mark. It’s a small difference and easily can be glanced over if you do not look closely.
Now Taeyong’s signature looks weird at first, but he has a habit of signing like this during regular-irregular era. Because there is a similar signature as the circled one, I ruled it out as manager signed due to it being almost identical. Of course during regular-irregular era—
the only manager signed signature I found was Yuta, but because Taeyong signed like this on several albums, it is uncommon for his signature to be faked since all of the other members who signed on that particular album are legit. He was not absent during promotions either.
If you do not remember how Taeyong’s signature looks like, I suggest you look over my regular-irregular thread as I explained his signature patterns.
As for Jaehyun, I already explained why his signature could be manager signed. It just doesn’t match his other patterns and he does not sign like that in particular for regular-irregular era.
Now here is where things get complicated. I remember during regulate era, 3 members in particular were absent during a fansign. It was members: winwin, mark, and doyoung. Remember what I said about SM signing in blank spaces when a member has promotions? This could possibly—
be for some of these members. Now not all promotional albums are signed during fansigns, just some. In particular, doyoung’s signature has been all over the place for regulate era. It’s too hard to tell whether or not his signature is legit because on most of the legit albums—
his signature looks messy and different. His signature could be a possible manager sign, but because doyoung has a habit of being messy for superhuman, it’s hard to tell. As the eras pass, his signature becomes messier and messier.
*please note: mark and doyoung were not absent on the same day of the fansign but on different days. It’s the same case for Haechan. The days were spread out.
Now comparing the signatures, the other members look legit. So this is probably a case of half-manager signed promotional album. If there is a winwin signed onto the album, it is most likely manager signed. Another thing is with Mark missing the -mark, it is most likely manager—
signed. The other members like Taeyong and Doyoung in my opinion just look super messy and it shows. Some of their promotional albums are neat while others are rushed. As for Jaehyun, you can tell if his signature is manager signed by doing a quick comparison of legit albums—
I’ve included in this thread. Johnny, Jungwoo, Taeil, Haechan, and Yuta look legit. Jungwoo has a habit of switching his signatures around from the first photo to the second photo and it is normal for him since he signs either pointy or rounded.
It could either be very loopy or very straight. The reason why I used these two is because I believe these are the most authentic considering that there might be a chance the ones that had winwin were filled in by managers.
For this era, there were To: producer addressed promotional albums. A good indicator of a legit signed album would be these ones would be these but please pay attention to the signatures on the back. Even if there’s a message, you have to double check the signatures.
As a big reminder, Mark and Jaehyun for this era are very suspicious. Keep a good eye out for any irregularities that follow these two members since they’re the most obvious.
Now, here is a very badly signed manager signed promotional album. Depending on which managers who sign it, signatures will be different. Note that on most of the promotional albums, the not for sale sticker is above the barcode along with the silver “bimae” sticker. This one is—
missing it entirely. This is kind of odd since normally the not for sale sticker is there. Stay away for these promotional albums that are missing the not for sale stickers.
Now this is a personal assumption but I heard that many people thought regulate era signatures were overall weird. That seems correct. From what I’ve seen, the signatures look really weird especially compared to fansigns and also superhuman era. Of course, there’s a gap between—
superhuman and regulate so many things like signatures could easily change. The signatures on superhuman were probably NCT 127 most busiest era with promotions from awaken then to the tour in the USA and Korean promotions. The albums for superhuman were not as messy as regulate.
So it doesn’t make sense if they signed differently and messy during regulate era when they signed messy during superhuman era and signatures still looked legit. Regulate era is definitely one of the eras where I believe there are fully manager signed, semi-manager signed, and—
fully legit signed. Depending on which copy the buyer purchases, they need to keep on a lookout to see these differences. SM is capable of sneaking a few manager signed promotional albums throughout the eras but Regulate was definitely the most obvious out of all of them.
Now the only fake signed C1 albums I’ve found are from the same seller I usually use for fake album examples. Again, this seller signed on the cover which is very weird since majority of the signatures are signed on the back. There hasn’t been a legit one member signed regulate—
