It was almost 340 and we stopped at the only place open for lunch. Fish meals for Rs. 80. Paruppu thogaiyal, Mandi, Cabbage thoran and Greens kootu with rice and the most intense fish cury. The remnants of vilangu meen fry prove how tasty they were.
Left to Erode next morning as I had a workshop there. Boy got bored and wandered around to find this place which had amazing lunch apparently.
So of course I had to go for dinner. So hear this!! They have two properties. One serves lunch only and the other serves dinner only. Menu? Exactly the same... So anyway...
Diner with entertainment. Yes!! I had Chutney rice with Pallipalayam chicken. But the best was Pacha puli rasam/Raw tamarind rasam(3rd pic) that is apparently the local rasam... OMG!! It's the gazpacho of soups!!! Wow!
Boy's itinerary: Chennai>Trichy>Tirunelveli >Madurai>Nagercoil>Kanyakumari >Thuckalay>Rameshwaram>Dhanuskodi>Devakottai>Dindigul> Erode. Overall his trip meter clocked 2500 km.
