Love is patient [with deprogramming trauma], love is kind [enough to oneself to set boundaries]. It does not envy [when marginalized people are given power], it does not boast [about privilege or material possessions], it is not proud [of bigotry].
It does not dishonor others’ [gender identity], it is not self-seeking [or self-hating], it is not easily angered [or always fake-positive], it keeps no record [of # of sexual partners]. Love does not delight in evil [of oppression], but rejoices with the truth [of liberation].
It always protects [the vulnerable], always trusts [those proven trustworthy], always hopes [for a better world], always perseveres [with a consistent self-care regimen]. Love never fails.
