Dear @KittyHollandIT and other critics of #RideForMurderedWomen .... here’s a little gallery for you.
Picture 1. 22nd Oct 2018 the day before my cancer operation. I rode for Michelle Savage who was shot 6 times by her ex husband. She had contacted police 3 times in 10 days.

That’s Day I had tumours throughout my abdomen. 2 were the size of grapefruits. One on each ovary. I rode 38 miles that day for Michelle. I don’t tell you this to brag but to let you see why all this matters so much to me. It hurt a bit that day. I was a bit scared.
Here’s me two days later when I had to have a gastro nasal tube as I couldn’t eat due to a blockage and my canula had exploded. I had a radical hysterectomy including some bowel surgery and the removal of my omentum and appendix. I was a bit ill.
Here is me 4 and a half weeks later. I got back on my bike to ride for Michelle’s mother Heather Whitbread who was shot alongside her 7 times. In all the time I was ill I knew I could not part those beautiful women in my rides. They deserved me to stop moaning about pain.
Here is me with the @EmmaHPrize I won for my various bits and bobs of work for women in tackling male violence but I was too ill to go and collect. I have devoted my life to women and I damn well have the right to decide what I do for them. Don’t you think? Don’t ya?
I’ll be on my chuffin bike long after you’ve moved on. I’ll be supporting women quietly too. As I always have. Whether I’m ill or well. For as long as I can.
I won’t be writing ill informed little slurs on the Twitter pages of cancer patients. You’re on your own with that.

I should correct this “I’ve devoted my life beyond abuse ...” because for 16 years I wasn’t fit to help anyone else. I was dying inside my own life. But I got out. And now I am going to help women without anyone else telling me how I should do it #RideForMurderedWomen
