Thread about my testosterone appointment. ⬇️

So my 1hr appt did have an “assessment”. Spoke with a social worker for a few minutes, here are the questions I remember:
“How long have you identified as trans?” “3 years”

“Do your parents support you transitioning?” “no they’re very transphobic”

2/
“Why do you want to start hormones?” “because I’ve identified as trans for years and it’s impossible for me to exist in this body and this dysphoria without passing as male and seeing the real me in my reflection”

“Do you ever doubt yourself in being trans?” “No never”

3/
“Did you have dysphoria as a child?” “I didn’t call it dysphoria but I always hated dresses and makeup and my hips/breasts until I found the words and realized Im trans”

“Ok I’m going to go tell our NP that you seem like a perfect candidate for T wait here for a few minutes”

4/
Nurse Practitioner: “this is the informed consent waiver for T, read it over and then you can sign it if you don’t have any more questions” “ok”

NP: “Do you understand that T will permenantly masculinize your appearance and consent to this treatment?” “Yes” (duh)

5/
Me: “what dose am I getting?”

NP: “you’re gonna start low then we can take you up from there if you need it”

Me: “well I have really big hips and started my period really early so I think I have naturally really high estrogen”

NP: “ok we can do 100mg then” (PROOF 4 HATERS)

6/
NP: ok here’s your prescription there’s a CVS accross the street go there and get your T then I’ll show you how to inject and then you can get out of here!”

Me: wow thanks so much ur saving my life I am a man 💯

I had 1 follow up phone call 2 weeks later,

7/
Where she asked if I was having any bad reactions. 10 min tops. After that I never interacted with this clinic again until I went and got my medical records after detransitioning. Oops! After that appt I got T from a diff. clinic that SHIPPED it to my house/appt. LOL

FIN ~
OH AND DID I MENTION?

No blood work! I did my first injection the same day, there wouldn’t even have been time to get results back if they *had* done blood work. So they prescribed 100mg (the highest dose) of testosterone to a 130lb female WITHOUT ANY BLOOD WORK.
