An interesting inspiration discovery. The same artist who designed the Trix box and the Jets box, also drew a some GREAT Sesame Street books! Roger Bradfield!
thx to @Famulator64 for helping me make the brain connection! https://twitter.com/Famulator64/status/1126289079551889408
Bradfield illustrated a very memorable Sesame Street book called 'The Together Book', one of the first two Sesame Street Little Golden Books ever published—in 1971.
He also illustrated 'Sherlock Hemlock' (1972) and
Bert's Hall of Great Inventions (1972)
So many great goofy drawings in these books. They're so charming! It's so hard to draw a muppet with the goofy likeness of the real puppets. Roger has always been one of my faves.
and now I just made the connection that he designed some of my favorite cereal boxes as well! Wow! (art via Matt Kaufenberg's pinterest)
he also goes by the pen-name Jolly Roger Bradfield
