What would Gingrich have done in Pelosi's shoes?

He'd have called a press conference on the steps of the Capitol, lined up his team behind him (esp recognisable faces*), held up the Mueller Report for the camera's & pronounced "The Facts Are In"

That visual, and that sound bite would spread across the world. The Speaker would get famous. She'd announce that the Justice committee will begin impeachment proceedings on the 10 counts of obstruction outlined in "This Document" (pounding the report)

(if she were Gingrich) She'd list the other areas of wrongdoing and specifics about how they are pursuing them "Committee X begins X about money laundering at 8:25 tomorrow morning in room..."

(if she were Gingrich) Pelosi would announce that any criminal conduct found in the other 14 committee investigations will result in additional charges being added to existing articles of impeachment or new article being drawn up as necessary.

When asked she would say "Yes, that means there might be 5 or 6 impeachment trials in the Senate over the next two years. If the illegal behavior warrants it, we must. We can't just quit prosecuting crimes bc the crime spree is too long. The American people deserve better"

Newt is a horrible human being. But he was very good at political theater, PR, and marketing. The release of the #MuellerReport was a platinum opportunity for a massive slam dunk, a DC sick burn.

But all we got was fumble bumble Hoyer off message. While on message was the powerfully unexciting "We're gonna keep investigating. We may invite someone to testify" Holy Crap, what a snoozer.

It would go viral in a flash. The speaker would put the young & the restless (Swalwell, AOC, Ilhan, Rashida, Moulton, Ryan) up front so the cameras see them, or give them a five minute speech about the crime their particular committee starts working on tomorrow at 7:15am.

Everyone hits cable TV. They all do the Sunday shows. Radio spots. All stay on message "The facts are in!" " #MuellerReport ? The facts are in!" After two days veer off into "The verdict is in" "Impeachment # 1 of many begins today" "We will not have a criminal in the WH!"
