In celebration of all the Masters content that is popping up, and the podcasts let's try a lightening round format over the day. You toss a name out, and I'll try to give you an interesting SG fact about some part of his history at the Masters.

For instance . . .
(from a tweet last week)

Golfer: Brandel Chamblee

Masters Fact: Excluding inaugural event, has the highest Strokes Gained per round (1.59) of any golfer to only play the event one time.

You fire a name, and I'll try to unearth an interesting SG-related Masters fact.

From: @badgerz2004

From: @cj85

Golfer: Hideki Matsuyama

Masters Fact: His career SG/Rd of 1.17 is tied with Adam Scott for 12th in this year's field. One of the few golfers I'd call 'undervalued' in the futures markets.
@KingContraryMan

Golfer: Brooks Koepka

Masters Fact: The 3-time major winner has never played the event as a major winner. Despite prior afterthought status, he is the 17th (and last) member of the field to average at least 1 Stroke Gained per round at the Masters (1.07).

From: @wagonomics

Golfer: Francesco Molinari

Masters Fact: (pains me to write this about a paesano) Probably the highest-regarded golfer in the field with negative career Strokes Gained at Augusta. Given that it's compiled over 24 rounds, sudden success would be a surprise.
From: @SteveSchirmer

Golfer: Charlie Hoffman

Masters Fact: A stunning 10th in this year's field in career Strokes Gained per round (1.31). It's a tale of two Charlie's though. In 5 trips, he's Charles in Charge in Rd 1 (4.60 SG/rd!!!) and Charles Barkley in Rd 4 (-1.47 SG/Rd).
From: @HotHandGambling

Golfer: Darren Clarke

Masters Fact: In 2003 posted the 5th greatest Strokes Gained round in Masters history, a 10.20. (He then went negative strokes gained in the next 3 rounds.)
From: @hughmansfield

Golfer: Lee Westwood

Masters Fact: In the last 56 years, his 17.15 SG in 2010 is the 2nd-best showing for a non-winner. Only 6 of the 22 winners in the Tiger Woods era had better tournaments. That's tough luck.
From: @shawnjacklitch

Golfer: Ben Curtis

Masters Fact: Only recorded positive Strokes Gained in 1 of 8 trips to Augusta. Just 2 cuts made.
From: @tknauff_

Golfer: Jeff Maggert

Masters Fact: Only had positive Strokes Gained in 6 of 12 trips, but made the most of them with two double-digit Strokes Gained finishes (10.29 in '96 and 11.18 in '03.)
From: @whale_capper

Golfer: Gary Woodland

Masters Fact: Has averaged -0.74 Strokes Gained per round in 17 rounds. That's the worst of anyone in the field who's played at least 8 rounds.
From: @jpfitz7

Golfer: Greg Norman

Masters Fact: Although synonymous with failed efforts, Norman's career here is stellar. In 23 starts and 80 career rounds he ranks 13th all time in career Strokes Gained (106.12.)

His 10.40 SG in Round 1 of '96 is the greatest round ever.
@5point5hole

Golfer: Bryson DeChambeau

Golfer: Bryson DeChambeau

From: @mikeanzz

Golfer: Vijay Singh

Masters Fact: During his 11-year peak, 1999-2009, made every cut and averaged 2.16 Strokes Gained per round. Only 6 negative Strokes Gained rounds in that time gave him an 86.4% success rate -- very Tiger-like.
From: @ForeRight18

Golfer: Sandy Lyle

Masters Fact: Only played remotely well enough to win one time in his 37 starts, but made the most of it in '88. His 59 negative Strokes Gained rounds out of 108 yields a success rate of 45.5% which has to be among the worst of any champion
From: @JackFromTally

Golfer: Charles Howell III

Masters Fact: Returns to his hometown course for the first time since 2012 but doesn't have great professional memories. Has never put together four positive Strokes Gained rounds in a single year in averaging 0.19 a round.
From: @bgeddes5

Golfer: John Daly

Masters Fact: Amidst a career with a total of negative -14.20 Strokes Gained, Daly had one consistent showing in 1993. Had he won that year, the champions dinner in '94 would have been catered by the Hooters on Washington Road.
From: @CarayChimp

Golfer: Curtis Strange

Masters Fact: Has a decent body of work (0.79 Strokes Gained per round) in 68 rounds, but it's marked by inconsistency. 6 missed cuts out of 20 and only one year ('85) with double digits Strokes Gained (10.61).
From: @bhodge89dh

Golfer: Jason Day

Masters Fact: Comes in with a positive course factor, 7th-best career Strokes Gained per round in the field (1.63) and with the 4th-best form on Tour since start of '18-'19 season. Hasn't put together 4 positive rounds since 2013 though.
From: @NoBluffHere

Golfer: Lee Trevino

Masters Fact: His dislike of the venue is well-documented and the results bear that out. Despite making 17 of 20 cuts, only once (1985) recorded positive Strokes Gained in all four rounds. His 7.61 total Strokes Gained in '85 is his best.
From: @DanRoth22

Golfer: Marc Leishman

Masters Fact: He's hit or miss. 6 entries, 3 missed cuts, and 4 negative Strokes Gained trips. But the successful efforts yielded 10.43 and 10.11 Strokes Gained in '13 and '18. Driving was subpar last year but great irons and putting.
From: @kevindjoyce

Golfer: Patrick Cantlay

Masters Fact: Last year's maiden effort as a pro was "meh." Missed cut due to approach and putting weakness.
From: @kwfahey

Golfer: Angel Cabrera

Masters Fact: Actually played better in 2013 (14.43 Strokes Gained) than 2009 when he won (13.71.) Had 14 straight rounds of positive Strokes Gained spanning '08 to '12 which is better than you might think.
From: @iancraig515

Golfer: Brandt Snedeker

Masters Fact: His best effort was 2008 (+10.93 Strokes Gained) and even then he couldn't string 4 positive rounds together. Has averaged a respectable 0.91 SG round but only has a 58% success rate in 36 rounds.
From: @sparrowguy

From: @ggoberkfell17

Golfer: Kevin Kisner

Masters Fact: With 8.82 Strokes Gained putting last year, he has the greatest putting performance in the Masters Strokes Gained era (2018-2018, inclusive) 🤣🤣🤣

Last year's putting wizardry accompanied by abysmal iron play (-8.25 SG.)
From: @kosteffektive

Golfer: Webb Simpson

Masters Fact: Took his 7th trip to Augusta last year to flip his career Strokes Gained from negative to positive. Nothing in the past points to future success.
From: @BrennanHaley5

Golfer: Anthony Kim <-- Bravo for this query.

Masters Fact: 6th-highest career Strokes Gained per round (1.93) of any golfer to play at least 10 rounds at Augusta. Oh, what might have been.
From: @Betgolfworld

Golfer: Billy Horschel

Masters Fact: Negative Strokes Gained for his career (-2.72) a success rate of just 41.7% and a missed cut last year due to across-the-board weakness.
From: @CurtisCosta

Golfer: Tiger Woods

Masters Fact: Has never had negative Strokes Gained on Thursday in 18 efforts as a pro. Averages an insane 3.24 SG per round in round 3 alone (pro rounds only.) 11 different years with double-digit total Strokes Gained.
From: @malsalhaltal

Golfer: Tom Kite (oooh, listen up)

Masters Fact: Has 10th-most career Strokes Gained (115.68) and, ex-Littler, 8 of the names in front of him are Masters legends. In 21-year stretch had 8 (!) double-digit SG efforts incl. runner-ups to Jack, Seve and Tiger.
From: @FSayani04

Golfer: Justin Thomas

Masters Fact: Only averaged 0.81 Strokes Gained in the 12 rounds he's played -- and that's aided a Round 2 effort last year that accounts for 78% of his total Strokes Gained. The other 3 rounds last year were each negative.
From: @jackgiofre

Golfer: Charl Schwartzel

Masters Fact: In his first 7 efforts, had just 12 positive Strokes Gained rounds -- but four of them came in a row in 2011 when he won. That's clusterluck. An excellent effort in 2017 prevents consideration for worst career of a winner
From: @tome41

Golfer: Bubba Watson

Masters Fact: Lots of ink in my book on Bubba. His 8.92 Strokes Gained off the tee last year was such an outlier, it must be among greatest driving efforts ever.
From: @Kaje329

Golfer: Justin Rose

Masters Fact: 13 for 13 in career cuts made, with two different Strokes Gained efforts above 15, but no wins. In fact, his body of work at the Masters is so sparkling, I firmly believe he, not Rory or DJ, should be the betting favorite.
From: @PairBart

Golfer: Larry Mize

Masters Fact: The 1987 win was fluky, but he did make the cut his first 11 tries, averaging 1.32 Strokes Gained a round. Had a 14.78 Strokes Gained effort in 1994 which was probably more deserving of a win than '87 so it evened out.
From: @jayrigdon5

Golfer: Ryan Moore

Masters Fact: Never put an tire four-round effort together, usually undone by weekend play. Has a success rate lower than 50% (7 positive Strokes Gained rounds out of 16) in rounds 3 and 4.
From: @sportsinvestor9

Golfer: Tommy Fleetwood

Masters Fact: After missed cut in maiden effort in '17, had a nice showing last year -- until Sunday (-3.51 Strokes Gained.) Still, 12th in SG:OTT and 17th in SG:P so the skills are there for a possible breakthrough.
From: @malsalhaltal and @ClubProGuy

Golfer: Jay Don Blake

Masters Fact: 100% success rate in career Round 3s, averaging 2.22 Strokes Gained on Saturday. That fact should earn him a steak dinner somewhere.
