We've taken to calling these moments "The Bounce" -

After learning new information or being triggered, and especially after learning some of things we've been encountering lately, it seems the immediate reaction is to recoil & totally repel to the other extreme - 100% rejection.

neither extreme of the spectrum is completely true - not the initial experience & interpretation of it, nor the eventual bounce to total rejection of whatever it is. Somewhere in the middle is the truth, and in that middle is also the balance. I look forward to finding it.

I know nobody expects me to be totally emotionally balanced given the circumstances, and that it's okay to not be perfect. But still, I strive to find that level of inner stability where I can withstand the swells in the tide of these moments with more grace & consistency.

Other times I think having a disposition like this can be/is regularly abused to get me to stop looking at/talking about #Hivites, #cannibals, #Pizzagate & #humantrafficking. The anger is justified. The entitlement, projection, & illogical thinking are not. Learn and move on.
