In the UK, more men committed suicide in the year 2015 than all British soldiers fighting in all wars since 1945

- Newsweek's article titled "The Trouble With Men: Why Men Are Killing Themselves"
Fyi, the article isn't clear if it's British soldiers who died or committed suicide. Still alarming though :/
Im gonna make this a thread about the challenges our boys are facing:

In the UK and US, one in three boys grow up without a dad.

In the US, 40% of girls are proficient in writing by Grade 8. In comparison, only 20% of males are proficient in writing by the eighth grade. - National

Here are a few concluding points:
1) Our boys are losing the sense of purpose that they once had
2) The jobs that they are naturally good at are more likely than the jobs which are dominated by women
3) In most developing countries, young women are making more money than men
4) We tend to judge our boys on the basis of their income, so this change really effects their self worth
5) Many of our girls tend to look for a mate who makes more than them. This mentality hurts women and men.
6) Men are more likely to die on their jobs than women
7) Suicide and mass incarceration affect men more than women.
8) The family court system often biased against men.

We need to do better at being there for our young men and educate them how to manoeuvre in this new terrain. This would help both sexes.
