This is complicated, for me.
From a scientific & factual standpoint, it actually makes little sense that undetectable folks have so much burden to disclose. But I do still think it's a considerate thing to do given the world we live in. https://twitter.com/nastytwitlicker/status/1108876629886058496

As I've LONG said, I find it wildly counterintuitive that pressure is only put on folks living w/ HIV to disclose (even when undetectable), even though we know that the biggest risk of transmission comes from folks who presume themselves to be HIV-
...but I also have to be cognizant of the world we live in.
Too many people still don't know the real facts of risk factors around HIV transmission. And while that sucks, we all ultimately have a right to have fully consensual sex where we're comfortable.

Even tho I know I'm of literally no risk to pass HIV onto anyone else & know that it honestly makes no sense that I "have" to disclose, I also have no interest in sleeping with anyone who'd find that to be a point of discomfort
Folks still have the right to decide for themselves

As I've said for years, I think the practice should be that EVERYONE discloses their general sexual health.
If I have to disclose that I'm undetectable, knowing that I'm not a risk to anyone, then "HIV-" folks (who pose the real risk) should disclose their testing history, no?

But for me, enthusiastic consent is my sexual praxis. I'm not one who enjoys sex unless everyone involved is comfortable and having a good time.
This includes guys being fully knowledgeable of the real facts around HIV and not having any apprehension around undetectable status.

In that sense, I do believe in disclosing, even when undetectable.
...but I'll always keep it in the conversation that it makes no sense that the burden is primarily placed onto us when we're actually the safest people of literally anyone to have sex with. lol
