I'm publishing the 1st study on (TDSB) eLearning this year - a field grievously in need of research. I have MANY opinions about the #OntEdAnnouncement. Namely, eLearning is no substitute for the classroom + will devastate the many students who struggle F2F. #OSSTF #onted #onpoli
eLearning has served those most privileged in the city because it's been used to avoid difficult learning F2F: presentations & discussions. It's used as a grade boost, and is rarely prioritized in a student's life. When it's mass delivered, attrition rates are very high.

When students fail (no doubt, the rates are going to skyrocket) will they be forced to take it online again? Or will we be funding them 2x for the second course, which they'll opt to take F2F.
