(THREAD) Trump's desire and willingness to use violence against Americans.
After Trump clearly threatened America with violence if things don't go his way, I figured I would make this thread to pull some things together. Here is a quote from Trump: https://mobile.twitter.com/TheRickWilson/status/1106243538885529602
1/ Most likely remember that the Chinese government killed thousands of their own unarmed citizens who had been protesting peacefully in Tiananmen Square and elsewhere in 1989. Details can be found here:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1989_Tiananmen_Square_protests
2/ For most Americans these massacres were disgusting abuses of power against a country's own citizens. Trump's view is clearly quite different. His view as expressed is that the government almost messed up by not killing their own people.
3/ In an interview Trump expressed his view that Russia's Gorbachev did not have a firm enough hand with his own people and then said this about Tianenman Square:
“When the students poured into Tiananmen Square, the Chinese government almost blew it. Then they were ...
5/ Here is a video of Trump that clearly shows Trump's willingness to promote violence: https://mobile.twitter.com/cm_merlin/status/1106592067914997761
6/ The person who actually wrote "The Art of the Deal" (Trump lied about writing that) got to know Trump very well as part of writing the book and as part of observing Trump. Here @TonySchwartz tells us that Trump would kill like Kim Jong Un if allowed: https://twitter.com/1sroberts/status/1008010136139382786
7/ While this one is about physical violence, there is a story in one of Trump's books about how much he enjoyed ruining a woman's life (she lost her house and her husband left her) even after she was down. https://twitter.com/darinp2/status/1069129744426225665
8/ When a person enjoys harming others and threatens violence, the evidence is pretty strong about what they would be willing to do if allowed. A lack of empathy is an important thing to note.
9/ Michael Cohen said that Trump had him threaten others about 500 times. Somebody should ask Cohen and any of Trump's bodyguards (under oath) whether they know of Trump getting anybody to threaten physical violence, such as the man @StormyDaniels said threatened her.
10/ Americans may not think Trump can actually be somebody who would unleash violence on America because we are not used to politicians that show that trait, but observing strongmen around that world, Trump's admiration for such men, and other things about Trump should make ...
11/ ... it clear that America does now have a president who would be willing to promote violence against America for his own purposes. I find it sad how many Americans will do everything they can to make sure that a man who has threatened America with violence has as ...
12/ ... much power as possible. The GOP and many Americans fall into the group doing that. I also find it really sad how many Americans will gleefully yell "TDS" at those who are observant enough to see that Trump often enjoys hurting people. Many of those same American's ...
13/ ... will claim they are patriots. Patriots to who? Not to the country Trump threatens with violence. Few of these people would ever support a Bin Laden, but don't even bat an eye about Trump's threat if he doesn't get his way.
14/ For those who say that Trump later said that he didn't mean something a certain way, of course he does that. He lies all the time and he reads words off teleprompters like a hostage who doesn't want to say them. Trump's "clarifications" are sometimes clearly deceptions.
15/ As Cohen basically said, Trump speaks like a mob boss. So some may play dumb like they don't know what Trump meant. Kind of like how Jim Jordan never heard a single lie from Trump, or about his wrestlers being molested.
Also, 7/ above should say "isn't about physical".
16/ I suspect that Trump is like goldfish growth when it comes to violence. If he deems it necessary for his own well being he will perpetuate as much violence as we allow, like a goldfish growing into its surroundings. Empathy won't hold Trump back, like with normal humans.
17/ I think that the way Trump has treated some women is related to his lack of empathy, and Trump has been accused of violence in the Jeffrey Epstein case. I made this thread about Trump and pedophile-like things, including that: https://twitter.com/darinp2/status/1099568699437006850
18/ When Romney lost fair and square to Obama in 2012, Trump tried to start a revolution, after Trump mistakenly thought Romney had won the popular vote (Obama won that big). The signs that Trump would turn to violence are not new: https://twitter.com/darinp2/status/1253885254395281409
