Totally agree. Sure, hard work, prepare, etc, but LUCK. Luck 100% played a part in my success.

Here's the thing though. Now that I have some success, *I'm* gonna *BE THE LUCK* for as many people as I can. That means RT's, warm intros, job referrals, hey you should talk to, etc. https://twitter.com/heyjenbartel/status/1100494058223480833
Go do it, people. #BeTheLuck for someone right now. I'm lucky my 5th grade teacher thought to loan me the Apple ][ that day. That my dad sold our van to get me a C64 later that year. That I bumped into @scottgu 11 years ago and he offered me a job. Go #BeTheLuck.
I was reminiscing on the folks who were my "luck" as I got involved in computers. My career started 100% (I can remember the actual single day) with my 5th grade teacher Marianne Mayfield-Hill encouraging me to try the Apple ][ in the classroom. I miss her daily. #OneSmallAct
Marianne Mayfield-Hill, my grade 5 teacher, trusted in me more than I did myself. She told me when I was lazy and when I could do better. She pushed me, but I always knew she had my back if I fell. She was my teacher when I was 12 and she was there on my wedding day. #OneSmallAct
