On this anniversary of the assassination of former Lebanese PM Rafik Hariri on 14 February 2005, dare we raise again the question that so many have asked for 14 years: Can a truck bomb really have created such a huge crater? Or was this an underground explosion? A mini-nuke?

There are many counter-examples that suggest a large bomb that explodes only a couple of feet above ground would not create any crater like 10,000 lb M121 & 15,000 lb BLU-82 bombs equipped with “Daisy Cutter” fuses to provide for burst height of 3 foot

USAF in Vietnam used M121 & BLU-82 to clear landing pads for helicopters in dense jungle to maximize destruction at ground level while leaving NO crater. The 21,000 lb MOAB similarly bursts about 6 ft off ground leaving NO crater.

Since a truck bomb as an "air burst weapon" can NOT create a large crater, what are we to make of all those #OfficialLies that have - from the 1980s to the present - erroneously blamed massive explosions with accompanying large craters on terrorist truck bombs?

If the #MIMAC (military-industrial-media-academic complex) really wants us to believe that car/truck bombs can blast huge craters, why don't they simply perform a public scientific demonstration like this 2005 MythBusters clip exploding a cement truck packed w/850 lbs ANFO?

850 lbs ANFO left nary a scratch on the ground. So MythBusters redid the demo for their 2016 Grand Finale with 5001 lbs ANFO (1679 kg TNT equivalent, RE factor = 0.74). And this time they got their crater! But I'll let you judge. Is this like the other "truck bomb" craters?
