I've used this 100% in-camera, real shot from "Lethal Weapon" (1987) as reference for years and years for things like heat haze and long lens artifacts, and it was a key inspiration for how I wanted the TIE shot against the sun in "The Force Awakens" to look.
This other shot from "Lethal Weapon" is another go-to for me when I'm trying to illustrate what long lens photography can look like.
