Yesterday, the CDC clarified #guidelines for end-of-life pain patients. They didn't for the rest of us #chronicpain patients. Remember: The @CDC's first letter was saying that their guidelines WERE NOT to force #CPPs off of our meds. Yesterday, they changed that statement. The @US_FDA has repeatedly warned the CDC that their guidelines are harmful.. and so have doctors. #chronicpain
Here is the truth of it. #Kolodny, who recommended the 90mme limits without expertise in prescribing or #painpatients, had his way because he's a stakeholder in the #CDC. Look at the guidelines. It's right there in the stakeholder group:

On that note, #Kolodny is not an MD to my knowledge, yet represented himself to the CDC as one. He is a Ph. D. (which means a doctor of philosophy). Yet, somehow, the CDC let him set unscientific limitations ( #90mme) with no background in prescribing because he's a stakeholder.
