There is Sarinda सारिंदा a version of Sarangi found in our country. It too vary across regions. Rajasthan Bengal etc. One beautiful is in V&A museum @V_and_A
Details of #Sarinda सारिंदा housed at @V_and_A I don't think now it is known in India other than few pockets of Bengal or Rajasthan. But brief says it was probably acquired in Amritsar. Being accompanied in शबद बानी Sikh prayers singing. Musical instrument of India.
