1. Jews have been trying to claim Elvis Presley as part of their tribe ever since he died. Does it strike you as odd that they would wait until after Elvis died to say he was Jewish?
2. It is odd because it's a lie. This rumor was started by biographer Elaine Dundy. In her Elvis biography, Dundy claimed that Elvis' third cousin told her that Elvis' great-great-grandmother was Jewish.
LIES.
Elaine Dundy's real name is Elaine Brimberg - she's a Polish Jew.
LIES.
Elaine Dundy's real name is Elaine Brimberg - she's a Polish Jew.
3. Brimberg claimed that Elvis' great-great-grandmother's name was Nancy Burdine. There is no genealogical record of Nancy Burdine, much less, evidence that she was Jewish. Also, Elvis' first cousin, Billy Smith, is on record saying that there is "no Jewish blood in their family"
4. Towards the end of his career, Elvis wore a Jewish chai necklace along with a cross because "he didn't want to miss out on heaven on a technicality." He was raised as a born-again Christian, but by the end of his life he took interest in everything from Hinduism to numerology.
5. In fact, Larry Geller, Elvis' Jewish hairstylist, tried to push Kabbalism on Elvis towards the end of his career. Of course, Jews use this as "evidence" that Elvis was Jewish.
5. Elvis, whose name is Norse for "all wise," openly admitted to American Indian ancestry, but not Jewish. Odd for a born-again Christian that believed Jews were God's chosen and had several Jews in his entourage. He'd have no reason to lie about Jewish ancestry if it were true.
