Do you have enough plug sockets and HDMI connection on your TV?
are you giving it a dedicated space?

Think about where it going to played.
3. Got your console.

Unpack it.
Turn it on.
It seems obvious, but don't leave it until Christmas day.

Make sure it works.
4. Connect it to the internet.

Most consoles and games need an update.
Get it out the way before the BIG day.
You will want to be playing. Not watching a loading bar.
5. Online subscriptions.

Get some.
There are some fantastic games available exclusively online for your console.
7. Player Two or even more.

Let's be honest. We all want to play with friends, family and mates.

Budget for extra controllers.

Get a family member on this. Nans and aunts are always asking "what should i buy the kids?"
8. Extra games.

Kids will want a choice.
Get a selection box of games.
Have a look at some of the titles they may have missed.
there are huge libraries of games.
9. Batteries not included and can you hear me?

Get a plug and play kit or charger.
You will be sick of raiding the TV remotes come boxing day.

Headsets. This is a must for online gaming.
10. Pick up a pad and play.

There is something for everything.
Don't be that killjoy that says “oh I’m not into games”… Just have a go.
