bts x epik high interactions: a necessary thread for good health

since the beginning, rap line always talked about how epik high was a major influence on them choosing to pursue music

with their first album "dark & wild", bts released a song called "hip hop phile" which talked about their beginnings and love for the genre. specifically namseok's verses, they mention artists that have influenced them, which included (you guessed it) epik high.

here's a snippet of epik high's "fly." the lyrics and essence of "outro: wings" really relate with this song and i cry ;~;

in one of taehyung's earliest vlogs, you can hear tablo's "tomorrow" feat. taeyang in the bg. this track was on his solo album "fever's end." it's such a heart wrenching album where tablo expressed his deepest thoughts during the time he went into seclusion from the media

in 2014, bts ended up being on m!countdown begins along with epik high. look at them get so excited to see epik high perform :(

later after the show, bts got to meet epik high and take a pic with them!! they posted it on their main twitter and tablo, dj tukutz, and mithra jin all replied with cute comments

on epik high's radio show "ok good," they revealed one of the three hidden features in their song "no thanxx" was actually yoongi!!!

oh an extra tidbit!!! this technically isn't bts x epik high interacting, but more of some of their thoughts intersecting. joon in an interview once talked about "amor fati" and his strive to live by this, which is something epik high explores in their song of the same phrase

for a year or so now, lee sora, a famous korean singer (who was also featured on tablo's solo album) asked to collab with tablo for a song in her album, and he recommended yoongi to be the feature! he's gonna be her first rap feature, while tablo will help produce uwu

recently in a billboard interview, tablo talked about his collab and relationship with yoongi. it just makes me so emotional hearing tablo--someone yoongi looks up to--talk about how much he respects yoongi as an artist.
