Bitter moment in my life:

In the 3rd grade they had a competition where you could submit a picture you drew and they would pick a winner and it would be the cover of that year’s yearbook
I submitted many, if not 20 pictures for this competition. I worked so hard on them. I would stay up PAST my bedtime to work on them. I used so many different colors. My crayola box became my hoe
And I’m not even gonna try to act humble. These were GOOD pictures. Like, I had teachers telling me that they would be surprised if it I didn’t get picked
Low and behold, when they announced the winners, it wasn’t me. Some kindergarten girl who drew BUBBLE PEOPLE AND DIDNT EVEN COLOR IN THE LINES GOT PICKED
I was ROBBED. To this day I still get heated when I think about it. But I guess it was a learning moment. Just goes to show that some people are gonna get rewarded for doing the bare minimum
