While I’m here lemme just share my thoughts concerning the rampant generalization of some set of people that comes from the mistake of one individual who is a part of those sets of people...
I still do not understand the reason why a certain individual named Bunmi would treat a guy badly and the next comment you see about it is “WOMEN ARE SCUM”, same goes for when Femi dates a girl for 5 years and marries another girl.
It is valid that these different individuals share the same physical traits, tribe, ethnicity, religion e.t.c with other individuals but that doesn’t mean they ultimately encompass the actions of those other individuals that they share these things with...
Last last Femi is Femi and is responsible for Femi’a actions and Bunmi is Bunmi and is responsible for Bunmi’s actions. Men are not scums because Femi did nonsense, Femi is a scum because he did nonsense. The same goes for Bunmi and every other individual y’all wanna get at.
You might say well there are lots of guys and girls who do these bad things... These lots cannot be used to judge the others who exist Sir/Ma. They do what they feel is good and enjoyable for them so castigate them for it. Leave the others out of it abeg...
Also, if plenty individuals have messed with you, (let’s say 20). You are free to say 20 men/women that have messed with me are scums. Based on your experience, you’re good for that. But not the rest that you’ve never met before.
The truth is you need to look at everything as a being before you ask the human in you to look at it. The human in you is already biased no matter how neutral you choose to be. The moment you become conscious of who you are, you become biased.
This human is what stops you from realizing that Femi and Bunmi are FEMI and BUNMI first before they are male and female. So their nonsense life is their nonsense life and not the nonsense life of the Male and Female genders. Are you getting me?
What I’m tryna let you know is this. Please blame the INDIVIDUAL and not where he is from or the people he represents. But the problem is we all mentally blame what the individual represents and this is because we are Human.
