Movie thread ⬇️
Venom. I lowered my expectations before watching it because of the critics but in the end it was a very enjoyable experience. Especially the Venom x Eddie Brock relationship. It ends with an amazing post credit scene which sets up an Venom sequel very nicely. Can't wait!! 7⃣
Hacksaw Ridge. Incredible good movie based on a true story around World War 2. You will feel a lot of diffrent emotions during this movie, from sad to happy. If you like good movies go check it out! 8⃣
The Predator. Incredible bad movie, the whole story doesn't make sense.. Few action scenes are nice to watch but other than that I do not recommend this movie.. 4⃣
Robin Hood. Watched this movie a week ago in theaters, the quality of the movie is not that high, loads of clichés for these type of movies, but there was some great action and enjoyed seeing a diffrent story of Robin Hood, in the end I had fun watching it. 6⃣
Outlaw King (netflix). Great movie with some very good acting performances. Based on a true story about Robert the Bruce (played by Chris Pine) it really shows the tension between England and Scotland around that time. 8⃣
Whiplash. Waited a long time to see the movie, blown away by it! Incredible good and intense movie, it’s about a drummer who gets pushed by his teacher to get the most out of himself, no matter the cost. With an astonishing performance by J.K. Simons, no wonder he won a Oscar.
Wreck-It Ralph. Normally don't watch these kind of movies but it was just an amazing movie, great story and some great humor. Just makes your hart melt, probably my 2nd favorite animation disney movie behind 'Coco' 9⃣
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Went to an early screaning last night, heard some raving reviews about the movie before going in, and wow! This movie is so freaking good. By far the best animation/comic movie of the year and personally my favorite movie of the year so far!! 🔟
Mortal Engines. Heard mixed things about this movie before going in, great idea of a film but the story in the end wasn’t that good, the visuals were stunning though! Decent action/fantasy movie overall but I wouldn't watch it a second time 6⃣
Aquaman. What an experience! Loved it so much, been waiting for over two years for this movie because an under water movie seemed so epic to me, and it delivered! Stunning visuals and a lovely story + good acting as well, go have fun and see it! (Amber Heard is beautiful) 9⃣
Bad Times at the El Royale. Crazy movie, in all aspects. A few of the same aspects as The Hatefull Eight, one of my favorites movies ever, this one is not as good though, still a decent enjoyable movie, but crazy. 7⃣
Bumblebee. Very good movie, and probably the best Transformers movie yet. The film has great heart and they make you feel like Bumblebee is your pet. Bit underwhelmed in terms of the quality of action, but maybe that's because I saw it in 3D and not in IMAX, Must watch though! 8⃣
Ralph Breaks The Internet. This movie is a worthy follow up to Wreck It Ralph. Amazing story and it delves into the internet and everything that comes with it. The friendship story between the two main caracters is lovely and it's an very enjoyable movie to watch, go see it! 9⃣
Bohemian Rhapsody. Freddie Mercury is a legend! Can listen to their songs all day! Rami Malek performance of Freddie is one of the best you will ever see, I advice you to watch this movie if you want to know more about the band ''Queen'' and witness a great story! 8⃣
Creed II. This movie impressed me at least as much as the first one, great story and it give you a real insight what comes to boxing, and how important the mental game is. Great action movie all around, go check it! 8⃣
Green Book. Such a amazing and inspiring movie. The thing I take away from this story is it doesnt matter from how much diffrent backgrounds you come, if you talk and are open to learn and accepting eachother the world will be a better place because of it! A must watch! 9⃣
Gone Girl. Damn... what an incredible movie, completily shaken up right now .. I'm sort of scared to go in a relationship now -,-'' What a performance from Rosamund Pike who plays Ben Affleck his wife in the movie. I hope she won some awards for this performance, stunning. 9⃣
Alita: Battle Angel. Went to see it last night, really enjoyed it, the action in the movie is next level with the story being decent. Was a bit suprised though when the movie ended because its very open at the end of it, it is clearly set up for a sequel. I look forward to it! 7⃣
Captain Marvel. Marvel delivers again! Great origin story with great humor and action. Loved it all round. Brie Larson & Samuel L. Jackson together works so well! Not in my top3 MCU movies but its one of the better ones! Go see it!! 8⃣
Triple Frontier (netflix). Good action movie with a great cast, if you have netflix make sure to check it out! Don't know if this movie alone is worth subscribing to netflix for but it's an enjoyable movie. Really hope the sequal is going to be made! 7⃣
A Quiet Place. I did it! My first full viewing of a horror movie, took my headphones of a few times but didnt take my eyes of it 😅 The acting of the kids and parents (Emily Blunt in particular) is just amazing, and the story, ending, the heart of the movie is all so so good!! 9⃣
Shazam. Went in yesterday night with very high expectations and on most things it did deliver. I felt it had a little bit of a slow start but once Zachary Levi came in playing Shazam it was hilariously fun to watch. All the kids were awesome as well! 7⃣
Hellboy. Heard some reviews that this movie was absolutely horrible, for me that's an overreaction. Yeah the storytelling isn't of the highest level and not all jokes land, but I found it still a enjoyable film, liked the actor who played Hellboy and the visuals of him. 6⃣
All my Marvel movie reviews up untill Avengers: Endgame ⬇ https://twitter.com/MxZvGx_/status/1106620687156944896?s=19
Avengers: Endgame. A special day, on the day I said goodbye to my granddad I watched Infinity War & Endgame back to back in theaters. I wasn’t ready and was ready at the same time. I haven’t really processed what I just watched, really overwhelming, but one thing: it pays off. 🔟
Just back from my second viewing of #AvengersEndgame And oh my god, it was even better the second time, and I'm convinced it will only get better each time you watch it. Best movie experience I have ever had and probably my favorite movie ever. About sticking the landing.. 👏🏽👏🏽
Detective Pikachu. I found it an enjoyable movie, but a crucial factor in that was Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu, story is okay but nothing special, also I would have liked to have seen some more action. Cute alert though. 6⃣
Godzilla: King Of Monsters. Saw the movie last night and it really delivered with the action and visuals, some stunning shots! The story was actually pretty decent as well, a nice surprise! I love these ‘’monster’’ movies, can’t wait for Kong v Godzilla face off next year! 7⃣
X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Watched it in theathers last night, heard a lot of negative things going into the movie but it really wasn't that bad. It wasn't the Marvel level but still a nice finish to the X-Men Series. Sophie Turner really delivered, was curious to see if she could. 6⃣
Men In Black: International. Yesterday watched the new MIB movie, it was my first one. Liked the chemestery between Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson and it had some nice humor moments, good time at the movies, but not anything spectacular, story/plot didn't land for me 6⃣
Spider-Man: Far From Home. It’s got it all, emotion, humor, action and a whole lot more! It deals great with the events from Endgame earlier and really completes phase 3. Marvel always deliver! Only one thing: Please don’t make Spider-Man; Iron Man Jr, make him Spider-Man! 8⃣
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. My parents always raved about the Lord Of The Rings’s trilogy when I was younger. The Hobbit was sort of my ‘'LOTR’' because I could see it in theather at the time. Just rewatched the first one again and it’s so beautifully done, five to go! 9⃣
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Was 15 when I saw this in theathers, one of my best memories growing up watching movies. That river scene, with the Orcs & Elves. That dragon flying towards the village in gold. Ed Sheeran’s ‘'I See Fire’' starting at the end. Classic. 9⃣
The Hobbit: Battle of the Five armies. That final scene with Thorin and Azog, one of the best action scene’s to finish a movie with, was so epic to watch it again so many years later. Good movie overall, great end to an fantastic trilogy. Thank you Peter Jackson! 9⃣
Hobbs and Shaw. Wildly entertaining movie, delivered on so many levels, story worked for me, some insane action, cast is amazing (some suprises) I digged the relationship with Hobbs, Shaw and Shaw's sister, great dynamics. Idris Elba dope villain! Worth the money. 8⃣
The Lion King (2019) What a classic, was a long time ago since I first watched the original, insane to now see it in photo realistic shape, absolutely spot on graphics. Timon and Pumba steal the movie, worthy remake of the original! #TheCircleOfLife 8⃣
Rocketman. This last year I’ve started to discover a lot of Elton John’s music, love his songs, so relaxing! Great movie, hard to watch the film because you see how tough life can be, even as a rockstar. Luckily we haven’t lost him to drugs and alcohol. Long live Elton John! 8⃣
Zodiac. Interesting story, but didn't really feel like a ''thriller'' to me, besides one scene where Gyllenhaal his character is in the house of an older man, which really didnt lead to anything. Always gutted when real life cases like that didnt got solved completily. 7⃣
Contratiempo/The Invisible Guest. Wow! This is what I call a thriller! Love how they build it up, so many twists and turns, extremely great acting, and I promise you: You don't see it coming😉 If you like thrillers and haven't seen this one, go see it asap! Spanish language 👍 9⃣
The Usual Suspects. Wasn't drawn in from the start but somewhere around the middle I was fully into it. Overall good movie, little bit dated with the action but you get used to it. Always love an ending that you don't see coming. 8⃣
The Departed. Great crime movie! Police v Maffia, both parties have a mole, and the question is, who is going to find their mole first. The outcome wasn’t what I was hoping. Incredibe performance by Di Caprio, also my first time watching Jack Nicholson in a movie. 8⃣
Just walking out of Joker.

My word what a movie and damn what a performance from Joaquin Phoenix, will probably win an oscar for this one. Iconic character, iconic performance. Acting on a diffrent level.
The King (netflix). Very much enjoyed this movie, first time Ive watched Timothee Chalamet act, heard he was a big talent, and indeed he is phenominal, Robert Pattinson great as well, cant wait to see his Batman potrayal. Worth watching 👌 8️⃣
Knives Out. The movie I didn't know I needed. So good! I love these who done it movies, but it's very diffrent this one, with a weird/dark humor, loved it! Ana De Armas in the lead 😍 In general the cast is great, wish I could watch this movie again without knowing the end 9️⃣
Ford v Ferrari. Quality shots, amazing story, great acting. Lots of good ingrediants in this picture. "Ford the second" stole the movie for me 😂 overall just a great movie, didn't like it as much as Knives Out, but thats just personal taste. 8️⃣
The Irishman. My first Scorsese film, very diffrent film to what im used to seeing but a quality one. Really looking forward to watching back more of his movies. Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci and Al Pacino in the lead was epic to see. Great acting from the gentlemen 9️⃣
Se7en. Fucked up thriller, good one though, nice dynamic between Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt throughout the film. Serial killers are not my cup of tea. 8⃣
The Prestige. Ate this movie up, watched it in a tent in the mountains, unbelievable cast of actors if you look back. Just loved everything, with a nice suprise at the end. The magician aspect of the movie I really enjoyed, always like to see what goes on behind the scenes 9⃣
Fighting With My Family. Wonderfull story about a young female wrestler. Great acting by the entire cast. Florence Pugh as Paige is stunning, she will have a big career. She has a role in Marvel's Black Widow movie that's coming out later, the sky is her limit. 8️⃣
Marriage Story. Great movie, incredibly well acted by Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver. Marriage can be tough, but beautiful at the same time. Im sure ready for that "challenge" when I find the one. Surely one of the best movies of the year. 9️⃣
Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker. Wasnt as emotionally invested as most people cause I havent watched the first six but still enjoyed this blockbuster. The first Star Wars trilogy I've watched, good ending for me. Good film, not on Avengers Endgame level. 7⃣

What are your favorites?
Goodfellas. A few "wow" moments I live for. I really like these Scorsese maffia movies. They are long, but you are invested all of the time, so well shot, character development top notch. Joe Pesci was a standout for me, what a character 😂 Lorraine Bracco so gorgeous. 9️⃣
I, Tonya. Tragic true story, how bad parenting and fame (media) can change a person and her career. Incredibly well acted by Margot Robbie and the rest of the cast. Especially the actress that plays Sonya's mother, what a bitch. Definitely a recommendation to watch 8️⃣
Inception. Wow, mind is blown. How on earth do you come up with this idea? Probs Christopher Nolan 👏 Can see now why a lot of people classed it as best movie of the decade, so good! Cant wait for Tenet now, looks something crazy weird special as well. 9️⃣
Jojo Rabbit. Overwhelmed, what a masterpiece. Seeing a war from the POV of a kid, makes it stand out even more how stupid war is. Cant imagine how it must have been living back then, grateful for freedom. Acting from the kids was so good, and Taika Watiti 👏 Best movie of 2019 🔟
Little Women. Wow.. the movies are getting better and better, I didn't want this movie to end. I am an emotional boy, I will admit it. Saoirse Ronan in the lead 😍👌 I knew Florence Pugh was good, but this is diffrent quality. Might beat Jojo Rabbit for my #1 of 2019. Mad. 🔟
Uncut Gems. Heard it was a great movie, and it was. A Guy making decisions I would never make, crazy but in the end you still root for him. Didn't know Adam Sandler was a great drama actor, this movie really is a gem. To think Julia Fox never acted before this movie is crazy. 9️⃣
The Godfather. Finally, I have watched it! Took a little time to get interesting but once it was passed the 45min mark I was in. Class movie, loved Al Pacino, and his character development in the movie. Best scene for me Michael arriving in an empty hospital and what follows. 9️⃣
The Godfather 2. Complete picture, Al Pacino, so good to watch a guy totally in his element. De Niro with a big role as well, nice suprise, didn't know how was in the 'Godfather' series.
For me this is the better movie of the two. Loved the family drama. 🔟
Scarface. 3 hours of Al Pacino acting, time well spend. Always hard to watch those self destructive characters but it makes amazing drama. Serpico next on the list! 8️⃣

What is your favorite Al Pacino performance?
The Gentlemen. Had to grow into it, but in the end I really enjoyed it, some great humor, original way of telling a story and I love me some R rated stuff. Colin Farrell and Hugh Grant were great for me. My third Guy Ritchie movie after, Man From Uncle and King Arthur. 7️⃣
Busby. Long time ago I've gotten so emotional watching a movie/doc. What a story. What a man. Learned so many things about our club, why youth is so important, why the Manchester United way is the way it is. History shows, no matter the setback, we will be on top again 🔴 🔟
The Silence of the Lambs.
Iconic performance by Anthony Hopkins, always a treat to watch performances like that. Amazing title as well if you know the story. Thrilling picture in general. Feel intrigued to watch the follow up: Hannibal Lecter. 9️⃣
Taxi Driver. Great picture, hella confused with that ending though. The lead character is a little bit of a weird bloke. First time I saw the "you talking to me" scene, epic 😂
12 year old getting used for prostitution was hard to watch though, hate to think that happens irl.. 8️⃣
How To Train Your Dragon Trilogy. Just watched ’The Hidden World’, great memories from the first two movies back when I was a young teenager. This one finishes it off great, with a wonderfull last 15 mins of the movie. One of my favorite animation movie series for sure 8⃣
Heat. Epic crime movie! and man, those Al Pacino and De Niro, can't get enough of them, that scene in the restaurant! Feel so blessed to have so much more movies of them to watch! My first Michael Mann film, first of many I presume, any recommendations? 9⃣
Onward. Shit, right in the feelings. Pixar movies seem to do it every time, incredibly well movie with some valuable life lessons. Luckily I have grown up with both my parents, but I can’t imagine how it must be watching this without having grown up with one of your parents 8⃣
The Lighthouse. I’m a little bit perplexed with what I just watched, not totally my style, but I enjoyed watching it. Breathtaking acting at times, Willem Defoe with an oscar worthy performance, and Robert Pattinson class as well. Can’t wait to see him in Tentet and The Batman 8⃣
Unforgiven. That was a good one, my first Clint Eastwood movie, a hero of my dads, he loves the western genre. I quite like it as well I have to say. Those times have something attractive, but brutal. Cant wait to go back and watch more of them. Any of you have favo westerns? 8️⃣
Moonlight. Great story, and a good movie, seeing the kid grow up and seeing the diffrent fases in his life was a cool aspect. Always great to see Mahershala Ali act, and the guy who players the older Kevin is a damn good actor. Not to forget Naomi Harris! 7️⃣
The Matrix. Yes! Quite impressed with the special effects, especially for that time. Can see why it’s a classic, always heard of the name but never knew what it was all about. Didn’t even recognise the young Keanu Reeves, only realised later in the movie. Dope movie! 8⃣
Saving Private Ryan. Wow, what a picture, those graphics, so real shot. It hits even harder home that way, movie/graphics don’t feel outdated at all, you can see they recreated all scenes, epic. My first classic Spielberg movie, what are your favorites of his? 9⃣
Insomnia. One of the lesser known Christopher Nolan movies, that guy really is a genius, only makes good movies. Al Pacino was great in the lead, and for me the first time watching Robin Williams and Hilary Swank. Great murder mystery movie, check it out if you haven’t already 8⃣
Jurassic Park. I love the Jurrasic World movies but I had never seen the original Jurrasic Park. Can see why this was groundbreaking, seeing dinosaurs on a big screen, nothing more epic than that. Ofcourse most of the CGI is outdated but as a movie it’s still so so good. 8⃣
Shutter Island. Wow, didn’t expect that outcome. Incredible mindf*k this movie. Stellar performance by Di Caprio. Shit man that moment at the end, you didn’t wait to believe it, but then it hit you it was the truth. Won't forget this movie quickly. Scorsese 🙌 9⃣
Jason Bourne Saga. My dad loves these type of action movies. I had never consciously seen the Jason Bourne movies, so we decided to watch all five. The third one is my favorite, and obviously the best one of them all. Overall just amazing to watch some movies with the old man. 7⃣
Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri. These are the films I like, so entertaining and so good. Sam Rockwell and Frances McDormand with masterclasses, both won an oscar. Woody Harrilson quality as well. First movie of director Martin McDonagh, goingto check out more of his 9⃣
No Country For Old Men. Hmm, don’t know about this one. Some nice scenes and with a very good villain, frightning scenes, besides that that idk. The story didn’t really click for me, I suppose the older you are the more this movie resignates with you. 6⃣
Reservoir Dogs. That’s a Quentin Tarantino movie all over haha, reminds me so much of The Hateful Eight, which is my favorite movie ever. That song ''Stuck in the middle with you'' when he’s dancing before torturing someone, damn so good ahaha. 8⃣
Parasite. What a great movie, with so many deeper meanings, biggest one the rich/poor contrast. It keeps you guessing every moment where it goes next, and it slowely turns into a thriller, just a great concept overall. I understand the hype now, and why it won ''best picture'' 9⃣
Carlito’s Way. Master performance from Al Pacino. I’m a sucker for good endings, but mostly I know to adjust my expectations when watching an Al Pacino crime/thriller movie. Good movie overall, but it doesn't stand out within all the classics I've watched lately 7⃣
For a Few Dollars More (1965). I love westerns, just the whole vibe, the second movie by the great Sergio Leone. The music and composing by Ennio Morricone is astonishing, that whistle throughout the movie, goosebumps. Good final face off, never tired of seeing Clint Eastwood 7⃣
Gladiator. Be like Maximus. Don’t be like Commodus. Role of a lifetime for Russell Crowe, fits perfectly, so good. Joaquin Phoenix is one of a kind, he really gets under your skin, so terrifying. Just a masterpiece of a movie, with an amazing ending, thank you Ridley Scott. 9⃣
The Social Network. Some stuff in the movie is historically false, but money makes people do unfair stuff. Andrew Garfield gave this movie heart/emotion, such a brilliant actor. Justin Timberlake good as well, made me hate his character. David Fincher is my favorite director. 8⃣
Jaws. I hate swimming and not knowing whats below me, so this is just the movie for me. It’s so good. So realistic. So many frightning scenes. One of the best movies I’ve seen period. It’s a masterpiece. Best scene, Quint’s story. Way better movie as a whole than I expected. 🔟
Zero Dark Thirty. . Great premise for a movie, and they delivered. Mental to see how the killing of Osama Bin Laden came to be when it wasn’t even that long ago. All the stuff that goes into locating the man, to actually executing the op. + keeping it all secret, fascinating. 8⃣
12 Angry Men. What an experience, what a masterpiece, such a good premice. One of my favorite movie experiences already, watched it again the day after. No wonder it’s in the top5 movies of all time. 12 men deciding on a man's life, do yourself a favor and check it out!🔟
Children Of Men. Absurt scenario, what a nightmare. Women are not able to bear children. I feel like my heart died a few times this movie. The ''war'' scenes were amazingly shot. Favorite scene has to be them walking of the stairs. Great movie! Alfonso Cuarón 👌 8⃣
In Bruges. Haha, what did I just watch? Irish humor you got to love it. It’s just a very fun entertaining movie where some crazy things happen. Colin Farrell is amazing in this, starts out as a comedy but evolves ''Three billboards..'' brought me to this movie, Martin McDonagh!8⃣
LA Confidential. Great movie, a classic. A young Russel Crowe, don’t make him angry, and loved Guy Pearce and Kim Basigner in this. This movie shows a lot of problems in the police that are still there today. The old man loved this movie, great to check it out with him 9⃣
The Devil All The Time. This was heavy, a very sad story, was tough to watch at times. Some people get what's coming to them, some people do not. The acting sublime all over the place, quality movie. That scene with Tom and Robert, chills. Finally a good netflix movie again 7️⃣/8️⃣
Enola Holmes. Decent movie, if you want to just sit and relax, light movie. One big reason I wanted to see this movie is Millie Bobby Brown, once in a generation talent. She is so good in this, leading this movie with ease. We will see her in big movies for decades to come. 6⃣
Once Upon A Time In America. Some legendary scenes, fantastic imagery. Sergio Leone one of the greatest, the music 😍 Story about regret mostly, and it de-romanticized being a gangster. This movie was so hard on women, hard to watch quite a few scenes, really fucked up. 9️⃣
Indiana Jones: Raiders Of The Lost Ark. I can see why this was such a hit back in the day. Lovely blockbuster. Are the sequals worth checking out? Look forward to check out more of Steven Spielberg his work. 8️⃣
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Good entertainment. Great seeing it all unfold with some unexpected turns. Great ending haha. Expected a few more laughs really. Very much a Guy Ritchie movie, after having seen The Gentlemen. What movie is another must see of his? 7⃣
The Sixth Sense. Wow, that was a quality movie, needed that. Probably my favorite movies these thriller mysteries. Conversation between the kid and his mother in the car nearing the end, tears. Such a smart twist at the end. S/O to that kid, crazy good acting at that age 9⃣
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Great western, from beginning to end. "The ugly" steals the movie, great performance. Ennio Morricone score always epic. Have seen most of Sergio Leone's movies now, legend. Clint Eastwood, his charisma as always is of the charts. 8️⃣
Greenland. Enjoyed it. Not to complicated, typical american action movie. Loved the setting of a meteorite crushing the earth. Nature has something epic and beautiful, but sadly destructive at times. The movie was a good representation of what would happen if it were to happen 6️⃣
Judgment at Nuremberg. Wow, fantastic movie, unbelievable that this happened for real. Very tough dilemma at first but in the end pretty convinced that was the right decision. After seeing 12 Angry Men another great court house movie, love them. Need to watch more of these 9️⃣
Collateral. Decent action movie, nothing special. Jamie Foxx was great in it. A bit over the top at times in the action scenes. Very clean visuals, very Micheal Mann esque. His second movie I've watched after Heat. Some other of his movies that I need to check out? 6⃣
Incendies. It’s hard to have words for this story. Heartbreaking brutal story. Living her life/memories with her was painful, felt so sad. I didn’t understand the ‘’one plus one’’ at first had to watch the ending twice though to fully understand, unbelievable. A masterpiece 🔟
Drive. Good movie. Ryan Gosling is not really my actor, for some reason don't jell with his vibe, mostly plays very quiet characters. This movie however I enjoyed his performance. Unexpected how some events played out I have to say, won't be a favorite for me though 7️⃣
Spotlight. Fantastic movie, good acting, such a horrific subject, so important this came to light. What people can do to other people, let alone a child, I will never get that. The system🤮. Shocking to see most still get away with it, probably till this day, very scary. 8⃣
Identity. Enjoyed this movie! Maybe it’s not all that realistic but the idea is entertaining. I’m always hoping for good endings, which makes it extra exciting following how it plays out. I liked the setting, 10 strangers stranded in one place, and it all goes down right there 7⃣
El Secreto de Sus Ojos. Quality movie! That elevator scene.. pfff. The romance of the two colleges was played really well, a little bit over the top maybe. Not so much a who done it, but it keeps you guessing all the time where they are going with this. Ending is satisfying. 9⃣
Sherlock Holmes. Im so used to Benedict his portrayol of Sherlock Holmes in the BBC series. Had to get used to it at first, but the acting was good, so in the end could see it for what it is. Guy Ritchie vibes, the bravoure, it's a good time. They set up the sequel brilliantly 7️⃣
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Calm suspense vibe the whole movie long. The movie gives you an impression of the cold war drama. A bit vague for me though, the movie, how everything played out. Acting is pretty good, amazing cast. 6⃣
Up. Bit late to the party, but seen another pixar classic. So much heart and fun in these movies. What a track record they have, basically every movie they put out is good, with most exceptional. This movie is from Pete Docter, probably their best director. He is doing Soul 9⃣
Mulan. First time seeing Mulan, haven’t seen any previous iterations. Love the story, personally feel an anger rising when I see injustice happening, or someone not being able to be who he/she is meant to be. Have to be honest quite enjoyed it. Mulan and her father 😍 6⃣.5⃣
Sound of Metal. Going deaf, you have to try and find peace with it, I like to believe the character in the movie found it in the end. Fantastic performance by Riz Ahmed. This movie certainly reminded me to be thankful for the things you have, those you mostly take for granted 7⃣
True Grit. Directed by the Coen Brothers. Loved this western, exciting adventure. What a performance by Hailee Steinfeld, 14 years old at the time.. Her performance is what will stick with me when I think of this movie. Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon quality to! 8⃣
Walk The Line. What a movie… the life of Johnny Cash. Quite a trauma in his childhood. Joaquin Phoenix is out of this world, you forget it’s him acting, you just feel like it’s johnny cash. What about his singing… Reese Witherspoon fantastic as well as June Carter. 🎶 9⃣
Zootropolis. Lovely movie. This movie is mostly about discrimination, always love how disney implement such important issues in their movies. Mr Big, Godfather style had me cracking up😂 They make these movies entertaining for kids and adults at the same time. 8️⃣
Bacurau. Mental. The togetherness of a village, community, family. For whatever reason all kind of crazy stuff happens. You really don’t know what to expect at first, it’s a big mystery, loved that about it. I won’t give to much away, it's better going in empty. Check it out! 8⃣
Palm Springs. Really really entertaining movie. Better than I thought it would be, love the world they created, they are stuck in a time loop. Comedy/Mystery movie. Andy Samsberg and Cristin Milioti are great together. J.K Simmons, so good to see him haha 7⃣
Fargo. Kind of knew what vibe to expect after watching Fargo the series. I can see now how this movie inspired the series. Coen Brothers + a quality cast 👏. Loved how they brought it back at the end to the perspective of the ordinary human being, ‘’why, for what?’’ 8⃣
Coco. 4th watch, brought me to tears yet again. In my top 3 favorite movies of all time. Perfection 🎶. Lee Unkrich directed the movie, sadly he won’t direct another movie anytime soon, he left Pixar to spend time with his family. Well, having seen this movie, I get it mate. 🔟
Mulholland Drive. No clue how it all fits together haha. I guess that’s David Lynch. Guess the movie is a big mix up of reality / trauma and a dream. Movie kind of feels like a dream as well. Naomi Watts, oh my god, in awe of her performance, a few breathtaking scenes. 9⃣
Home Alone. Such a perfect christmas movie! Had seen this years back. First time seeing it’s knowing Joe Pesci from his other work, perfect casting for that role, brilliant 🤣. Also just realised it’s Catherine O’Hara from Schitt’s Creek, playing the mother of Kevin. 8⃣
Soul. Here it is, my favorite movie of the year! The story and deeper message this movie brought everything I had hoped for. Try to enjoy life as it comes. Behind all that they make it so light and fun, So many fun little jokes, about life, history, sports etc. So well done 9⃣
Die Hard. I have finally seen the oh so famous Die Hard! Better than I expected, loved the setting of a hostage situation in a hotel. Liked the comedic attitude Bruce Willis played John McLane with. Just a great movie for the genre it is. Merry Christmas! 8⃣
Stoker. Quite the movie. Such a strange vibe all the way through. You kind of feel it all coming, but still it manages to surprise you with how it all turns out. Some horror elements, that freaks me out. Good Mystery/Thriller. 8⃣
It’s a Wonderful Life. What a beautiful movie. Another movie that makes you think about life. Was captivated all movie long and can see why this is seen as one of the best christmas movies ever. 9⃣

I've written down more detailed thoughts here: https://letterboxd.com/_bas/film/its-a-wonderful-life/
The Hateful Eight. In this moment my favorite movie ever. About my 6th watch. I will never forget how I felt watching the movie for the first time, the mystery, the ridiculousness, everything, like how on earth does this fit, and how will it end!? Ennio Morricone score 🎶😍 🔟
Coming to America. Very enjoyable movie. Eddie Murphy played such a sweet guy. His smile haha, so infectious. Quite a romance movie, with some good laughs, once I nearly died laughing, the scene when they are watching the basketball match 🤣 The barber shop scenes were gold. 8⃣
Ma Rainey's Black Bottom. The movie had a really theatre play type feel about it. They adress a lot of important issues in the movie. Music connects. Acting performances of Chadwick Boseman and Viola Davis the best thing of this movie, breathtaking acting. Thank you Chadwick 7⃣
The Shawshank Redemption. I am blown away. There is so much more to the movie then I was able to see the first time years back. Friendship, hope, injustice, power. Really hit home. Freedom is one of the most important and most valuable things in life. What a masterpiece!🔟
Ratatouille. ‘’Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere.’’ We must not limit someone because of what he or she looks like or he or she comes from. Remember watching this movie as a 10/11 year old. One of the classics, so beautiful 9⃣
Toy Story. The friendship building between Woody and Buzz was fantastic. Probably just like Iron Man 1 did for Marvel, this paved the way for all the movies that came out later for Pixar. Great to have a light fun movie between all these tear-jerker movies from Pixar.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. There is way more to this movie than I can comprehend in this moment after 1 watch. Acting all over the cast the phenomenal. Jack Nicholson already becoming one of my favorite actors. Movie is weird, fun, tragic, beautiful all at the same time.🔟
Back To The Future. Had a great time with this one, more than I expected. When this movie got referenced in Avengers: Endgame I was like I have to check this one out. Movie pretty much still holds up today, only the special affects are out of date. Cant wait to see the sequels 8⃣
Toy Story 2. This one was wonderful. Probably even enjoyed this movie more then the first one. The Toy Story francise is really growing on me. Buzz Lightyear ‘’the serious version’’ really stealed the movie for me, so funny 🤣 The end credit scenes😁 so creative 9⃣
The Last Of The Mohicans. Amazing adventure/war movie! Lovely premise and I was eating it all up. My first Daniel Day Lewis movie can’t wait to check out more from him. Finally a Michael Mann movie were the characters are not in fine suits haha 8⃣
The Good Dinosaur. I love dinosaur's. So a Pixar Dinosaur movie is one I have to check out. Not one of Pixar's greats but still a cute little movie. Says a lot about a pixar when this is one of your second lowest ranked movie. Really a coming of age story. Worth seeing 6⃣
Pulp Fiction. 2nd viewing. Well damn, the fucking weird scenario’s potrayed in this movie haha. Quentin Tarantino, so authentic. The dialogue in this. A lot of scenes they are just talking and talking, and it's just the best ever. Samuel L Jackson, my man 🔟
Toy Story 3. What a masterpiece by Lee Unkrich. What a perfect ending to the Toy Story trilogy, tears were popping up at the end. This movie deals with loss, having to move on (saying goodbye), loyalty, love and a whole lot more. One of the better Pixar movies I've seen. 🔟
Catch Me If You Can. Very captivating, fascinating story. It has one of the most satisfying endings to a movie you can get. DiCaprio is probably my favorite actor, he just grabs me from beginning to end. Tom Hanks just perfect for that role. Another great one from Spielberg 9⃣
Wind River. One of my favorites. Taylor Sheridan is a great director/writer, still pretty unknown. This movie grabs you from the first second, builds up so well to an amazing climax, satisfying ending, with brilliant acting all over. Deserves way more recognition this one🔟
Mystic River. Novel from Dennis Lehane, he also wrote Shutter Island, loved that one so I was intrigued to check out more of his stuff. Good movie, the dynamic of the three boyhood friends was nice. Ending was a bit strange for me. Maria Gay Harden her performance was great 8⃣
The Revenant. Second viewing. What a visual masterpiece. An amazing adventure with a lot of memorable scenes, the story is quite straight forward but it worked in this one. Tom Hardy and DiCaprio so good in this. Kind of feel like taking a nice warm shower after seeing this
The Town. First movie I've seen that Ben Affleck directed. It's a good one, some quality action. Ending was well done, I felt it. Jeremy Renner with a good performance as well. 8⃣
Witness for the Prosecution. Great movie! One of the more surprised endings I have seen. I just love these court house mystery’s. Love the lead actor, Charles Laughton. They do a wonderful job of hoping and thinking one thing and totally suprising you 9⃣
