Astrology Etiquette:

Allow this thread to guide you into an understanding of how to go about seeking the information you desire from hard working Astrologers online
As astrology makes its way into popculture and mainstream media, more and more people will be coming online to look for answers.

Specifically, they will seek information from the users who seem helpful and knowledgeable
First and foremost -

Astrology is an energy business, more so than other lines of work in my opinion.

What this means, is that the mental prowess required to read a birth chart with accuracy is extremely draining and consumes mass amounts of energy
Most of us are often very tired, exhausted, and some of us even have trouble with our sleeping patterns because of the toll that the mental exhaustion takes on us.
With that being said

Like other jobs that require time and a particular skill set, Astrologers charge you for their time, energy, and personal expertise.
We have all spent lots of time reseaeching and expanding our knowledge on Astro.

Most of us are blessed with a spiritual intuition that allows us to make connections that other people can not.

This is why we charge. We have knowledge that cannot be attained anywhere else
However, we’re not assholes and that’s why we have Twitters, Instagrams, Tumblrs and more to share some of our unique insights with the masses.

Bc of social media we are able to offer a glimpse into our knowledge to attract clients who would like to know more.
It’s normal to want to know why an Astrologer said something, how they got to that conclusion, or if they could help you understand what they are saying as it pertains to your birth chart.

But people, there is a proper way to ask for this information!
• Ask politely. You’re more likely to get a reply when you ask for help instead of demanding help or saying things with no context.

Example:

âś… Could you help me understand this?

âś… Would you be able to tell me about XYZ placement?

❌ DO MINE!

❌ “XYZ planet in the 5th?”
• Keep your questions simple.

We make our livings and side hustles from answering questions and giving interpretations.

It’s no problem helping people out for free, but please don’t ask us complex questions that require some thinking and energy to answer
Example:

âś… Would Mars in this house affect me as well?

âś… I have my Sun in the 7th, do you know how this would work for what you said?

❌ I have my Sun in the 7th Square Uranus and Trine Jupiter in Capricorn and Aries with a Stellium and Lilith and 999 asteroids conjunct??
• Don’t expect a reply

Sounds harsh. I know.

But nobody owes you an answer. You’re not entitled to information about your chart from us.
We’re not obligated to help you outside of a paid reading
• Don’t feel offended if we cannot personally invest in you

This isn’t talked about often because nobody wants to hurt anyone’s feelings, but guys we can’t be friends with all of you.
I know that a lot of you feel comfortable and connected to us, and enjoy talking through DM and telling personal stories.

But it’s time and energy consuming to keep up personal conversation with you everyday.

Being a friend to you is energy we can’t afford to give everyday
Constant DMs can be really annoying, to put it plainly.

A lot of you feel comfortable asking question after questions because you feel like we’re your friends and don’t feel the need to purchase a reading for the answers.

This is not the case. Be supportive
The solution I have to this problem is to encourage y’all to join or make Group Twitter DMs.

Most of us don’t have Astro friends in rl & our friends and families are sick of hearing abt it.

Joining an Astro group will help you make friends & have ppl to discuss Astro with
• Lastly, check the replies before asking a question.

Even if there are 100 replies and you’re getting sick of looking, look again bc your question has already been answered.
✨Disclaimer✨

This wasn’t a jab at any of you or a mean spirited rant.
Most of you simply didn’t know that there’s a better way to do these things to get what you want.

This thread is meant to HELP you get the Astro info you need

• It’s rude to reply to a tweet or thread with a question completely unrelated to the subject of the tweet.

Example:

âś… *makes a new tweet to ask a Q*

❌ Replies to a thread about Sun in the 7th asking about Neptune in the 3rd
